Willis ban (1 Viewer)

Sorry to start a whole thread on this, but can somebody clarify the length of Jordan Willis' ban. In a preview of the Wycombe game I have just read, it is citing a one match ban, but thought the debate on here on the match thread was arguing about 2 or 3 game. Help?

I think it used to be a 1 game ban for 2 yellows and 3 for a straight red but they changed it and a 3 games is only for serious foul play or violent conduct.

That's what I thought. Straight red for last man denying a (possible) goal scoring opportunity isn't the same as straight red for violent conduct. It's all in the referee's report as to how severity of punishment is awarded.
Just watch now - He'll get a frickin three gamer!

Someone’s pointed out on another thread that’s his only caution this season (no yellows). I thought he got one when he gave the pen away against Stoke but apparently not

Yes that’s correct he has one yellow vs Stoke in fa cup. But no yellows in The league. Pretty incredible.

Should be just one game ban for Willis.

I think he only has something like 5 yellow cards in his whole career to date. And now 2 reds, both a little unfortunate depending on your view.

Correct. 5 yellow cards in 162 games. He has more goals than yellow cards

Rod McDonald, 22 yellow cards in 146 games.

Tom Davies, 22 yellow cards in 93 games.

Just goes to show even though Rod and Tom Davies are classed as senior professionals they’ve not played that many games really

Might only be one game but with the increasing gap to 7th its become a must win really and no Davies to cover, with AA up top for them. I think we can score but I fear may need 2 or 3 so hopefully the front options not too tired from chasing down shadows on Saturday.

I'm not really that well in with him upstairs, so the best I can do is have a word with the bloke down below and see if I can get the match called off due to overheating.

No, ask him to drop the temp a bit. Dont want the underground heating thawing the pitch.

Hopefully so, a victim to snow or frozen pitch would be nice.

Apologies for those if you with tickets and plans...

Not sure I agree. I think (hope) this might be a good time to play them. Willis was unlikely to win much against Akinfenwa anyway, so Hyam replacing him for this particular match might not be such an issue as for the games that follow. It is also the case that Wycombe are quite an old team, and the short turn around since Saturday's game should hopefully be more in our favour than theirs.

Would Stokes at CB be a better option than Hyam?
