As at 5pm a fee had not been agreed.
Rotherham bid initially 250k last Thursday, then 295k and last bid ( and I am told final bid) is 325k. At this point MV has turned down. Stalemate for now and see who gives in first. The Rotherham guys are on their way to Forest now.
Personal terms not an issue.

What are you even on about?

That's the rumours from the paper with other sources. The reality is you just despise Reid - which isn't surprising - he was the darling of all politicians in Coventry until he decided to have an independent thought.

I've previously mentioned that Willis has been looking for a move since the summer as someone close to him stated "he'll be off after Christmas!". Looks like he's got his wish.

Rate Willis, very good player. What people fail to realise is he is only 22, played over 100 games even with two lengthy injury set backs and been given the captaincy - must have something about him.

Sometimes I think our academy players cop way too much flak the instant they make their first mistake in the first team. Not sure why people were so happy about the Rawson signing when they already thought Willis was shit. People are saying he is shit, he is now too good for Coventry City.

Good post, we should be supporting our young home grown players, but young players like Willis and Haynes get abuse from some posters on here, and at some games. And then, those players are subject to bids from higher League clubs (Rotherham, Wolves) or taken on trial (Liverpool). These other clubs see something in our players that we don't.

Coventry have ignored rotherhams 6.15 deadline for Willis offer to be accepted.. as it was already rejected .. glad to see city not giving players away for nothing and actually standing up for ourselves ! Glad he's staying good player

But will they still keep ignoring the offer until the deadline actually passes?

What a clown you are independent thought my arse.
You only wank over his every word because of your hatred of Gilbert.

We are now at the point where we have to sell our average players.

I have heard if you buy a season ticket next year you get a seat number and a squad number.

Bagsy something like the american's where they are like 97 or something random as a shirt number.

It will be like Sunday league where whoever gets to the kitbag first when its opened gets the best numbers.

Pleased he's staying.
Though there was little chance of red card being rescinded, think he was a bit unfortunate in that the Northampton player had his foot over the ball more than he did (Willis sliding in made the challenge look worse than it was).

And no different whatsoever to Milner's last night, who only got a yellow.

Must be many disappointed people around this morning to find bizarrely all players were retained.... we held firm on our stance and not snapped the hands off the first bidder.
Just a shame we didn't manage to lure in a suitable target man/striker.
Time to reach for the little black book used in desperate times.... the released out of contract players. Hopefully RS can find a player to try and use to get better use out of what we have.... you never no your luck.
On that note I think league two is near on a certainty, key is to tie down a manager early... very early to try and maximise the free contract players. Grafters and men needed to play on a Accrington Stanley pitch in January...

Well we still have Wharton and Nasseri on trial and then have just taken Hammond and this Gocgic? Excuse the spelling.

Maybe there is a released striker somewhere, but they obviously need to be match fit.
