Why the need for a verbal explanation to the entire world?
Anybody would think some of this crowd are experiencing a soccer ball game for the first time.
Great save though - even if she did have both feet off the line before the ball was struck.

It's being trialled. Could be used in men's game next.

We complain about a lack of communication regarding decisions. They bring it in and we complain about it treating us like idiots.

Personally would prefer refs miked up so we can hear the discussion at the monitor.

I think the poster is only against it because he thinks it was a women's thing

No it wasn’t - do you need some help from the rest of us to explain the rules?
Do you mean the handball for the penalty that the ref was stood right next to and missed and then they took a good 7 minutes to decide and then had to make an announcement?

All well and good if the refs want to explain why they didn't book players for bad challenges or get things massively wrong.

It is very American although if used properly it would work.

That shot from James - directed at the only 100% guarded section of the goal (admittedly not much else of it on view)
Screamed of someone not having much game time in the last three (two?) So gonna have some 'me time'. Very selfish.

I think you’re a bit confused about what happened, but I’m sure you’ll pick it up as you watch more of the game, this is a welcoming sport after all

No one is switched on in the box, still putting crosses in with one player in there
