Not for me. Would devalue the competition and I presume will mean the euros will also be every other year. Would be overkill.

Who comes up with these ideas? The most common complaint you here these days is that the competition has grown to much. Weeks of group games where you only need to win one game to go through, too many minor teams etc.

So to combat that those in charge decide we need it to happen more often.

Saturation will kill the demand or interest in the end.

It's £££. They make loads of money from sponsorship/TV deals etc so someone is wondering why they restrict that income to only every four years. Only as wingy points out none of them have the nous to think that doing it more often will result in less interest and thus diminishing returns.

As much as I love international tournaments this is a step too far. We shouldn’t be surprised though. They already managed to shoehorn another 8 and 16 teams into the Euros and World Cup respectively. It wasn’t that long ago where that was the total number of teams taking part in each! Tournaments are special and increasing their occurrence is devaluing them.
