If he has blocked the is Wright onside? They seemed to say that to justify the Liverpool goal against Everton

That’s not quite correct because Anthony should have had two yellow cards in the first half so wouldn’t have been on the pitch to score their second.I thought he was poor but we've not lost the game because of him
I get it must be difficult for referees sometimes, I mean, the referee today might as well have just threw Josh Brownhill his whistle and told him to crack on with it. That being said, he was appalling. As always, I do not subscribe to conspiracies of some sort of plot against us, or that referees favour certain teams, he was just...shite.
What I do believe is that Burnley make themselves difficult to referee, and it requires very good refereeing. Today, he had a very bad game, and some of the decisions were baffling; the "foul" by Wright on Egan-Riley (?) early in the game, the yellow for MvE for being clattered into, no yellow for Anthony kicking the ball away when the ball was so far out of play it was practically on the A444, to name but a few
In the bread isle of tescoCorrection: My "A444" bit doesn't work as that was close to the East Stand...but you get my gist
A lot of examples of this clown making shit decisions. I scrolled the first couple of pages and didn’t see reference to it…the one on Sakamoto where he blocked him off/shoved into him, right at the end of the first half. No attempt to go for the ball at all. In fact No where near the ball…no booking.
It needs to be used for clear and obvious errors as it was intended to be. Shit like Derby's second goal or EMC being fouled against Sunderland, not for judging someone to be a pube's width offsideI sit in block 21 so like to think I had a decent view of it and to me it looked like an elbow into Sakamoto's face, he looked behind him, saw him coming and just lifted his arm and stopped. Could be mistaken, could have been a shoulder but it was clearly a yellow at the very least, possibly a red card and instead they got the throw in?
Ref was a joke, wasn't the reason we lost the game, but he should never be anywhere near the championship again after today, he was played from the first minute by Burnley and some of the fouls he gave were just laughable. Kinda summed up by Grimes in the post match.
I know we all hate VAR but honestly, if the refs keep up being as poor as this season, then it might be time for it in the Championship (along with stop clocking because 5 minutes injury time? After 5 subs and their timewasting...)
Burnley injury claims be likeThe ref was easily distracted when they wanted to waste time.

it is quite near the biscuits so there may also be a few penguins there as wellSounds like the next uninhabited island Trump is going to tariff!
I said at the time if Sakamoto had gone down holding his face I reckon the ref would’ve had more of a decision to make. As soon as they scored they were eeking out minutes at every opportunity…taking extra long time on throws and goal kicks and that’s without the diving and the professional fouling. The ref did fuck all.
Also who was it who just shoved through the back of Simms late on? Got away without a card somehow.
And some nice chocolates.Last season we got apology letters from the league about terrible refereeing decisions. Need a bouquet of flowers to go with this one
So did I and I'll be 59 in August. My lad learnt a few new words today
Hmm. I don't mind him blocking Sakamoto off, that is not the issue.
Looks like a fair challenge by a player shielding the ball

Why is he at an almost complete stop, so not momentum, but he still moves his arm/elbow into Sakamoto?
Just an unnecessary cheap shot. Not a red, but how it's not a yellow when the referee has given it I have no idea.
I don't know why that wasn't a booking; clear and cynical foul.

Not a red, though.
Referee has done more for Yorkshire-Lancashire relations than Paddy McGuinnessThere was at least 2 on Rudoni where he had got the ball and was about to start a counter attack and he was dragged down by the player he beat and neither got booked.
Yeah, he was weak as piss. It was embarrassing. There was at least 2 on Rudoni where he had got the ball and was about to start a counter attack and he was dragged down by the player he beat and neither got booked.
