Funny, I was thinking of this thread the other day and the fact that my emotions are pretty much on par with Cardiff game as opposed to the Gillingham game. As bad as things are at the moment, it's part and parcel of being a Sky Blue unfortunately. It makes those Gillingham games and moments more special.
That said, since the Gillingham game, my concern on the pitch is overshadowed by the events that have happened off the pitch. For me, the Wasps deal is an absolute shocker for our football club. I won't go into who is to blame as I'm bored of reading countless threads on that, but I think I'm faced with the very real prospect of my beloved club never owning a ground again in my lifetime.
Hand on heart, I genuinely don't know what the future holds off the pitch but I'm worried and losing the will. I desperately wanted us to own the Ricoh...I think in not doing so, we're so restricted going forward with incoming revenue. However, being a Cov fan does occasionally surprise you positively when least expecting it.
I'm therefore hoping that very shortly, I'll be getting notifications through Social Media, that Sisu have gone, a billionaire Cov fan has bought the club, offered loads to kick out Wasps and we own the Ricoh, devoid of any ACL/CCC/Higgs ties and we sign Messi, Ronaldo etc etc.
Happy Monday folks...I'm off to get some medication...
