They do, but if you say look on GMK there are a few who are saying they either went on the protest but nearly walked off because of the Sisu Out chants and some who didn't go at all because they didn't want it to turn into anti-Sisu event.
Everything now should be focused on Coventry City IN Coventry. Everything else is secondary.

Michael, people need a focus. OK. If the idea is to have a 'Jimmy's Hill' protest AND something at the Ricoh, spell it out. However, I honestly think it will weaken our case doing both.
They could have started a " we want sisu in " chant then, anyone who was there yesterday and wasn't expecting to here anti sisu chanting is imo extremely naive !!They do, but if you say look on GMK there are a few who are saying they either went on the protest but nearly walked off because of the Sisu Out chants and some who didn't go at all because they didn't want it to turn into anti-Sisu event.

Its a good job that the vast majority who went yesterday have not even heard of GMK or SBT for that matter. What did they or even you think was going to happen? Everybody I spoke to old, middleaged or young want Sisu out, except of course the Brain Trust which is GMK and a few others on here whose posts always end with of course I am not defending Sisu etc but spend the rest of the post doing just that. They do, but if you say look on GMK there are a few who are saying they either went on the protest but nearly walked off because of the Sisu Out chants and some who didn't go at all because they didn't want it to turn into anti-Sisu event.

concentrate on protesting againt the council and you will get us back in the Ricoh within a week. they need to simply sell to sisu
Didn't tesco invest over 100 million
STUPID, ignorant statement....
CCC/ Higgs saved the stadium 2000 Ricoh project when CCFC couldn't or Wouldn't fund it.
They invested 113 million pounds with CCFC paying only 30 million over 25 years, WHO DO YOU THINK PAYS THE REST OF THE 83 million ?
ACL/ HIGGS do.... get real and don't muddy the waters with this nonsense.
Didn't NTFC say that the police cordon the hill off on match days so nobody can get on it.
still think a peaceful pitch invasion at sixfields would be a good idea....yeah i know people have mentioned banning orders etc but would they do that if enough people went onto the pitch....get the game abandoned and that will get media coverage and embarrass shitzu....just a thought

No they didn't. Absolute rubbish.
The Arena Coventry complex is split into TWO entities, The Stadium complex including casino and exhibition halls etc; The Retail complex was in part funded by Tesco to enable the WHOLE project to get off the ground.
The 113 million is for the stadium complex on its own..... how much do you think it cost to build this complex ? The retail part of the complex is quite separate and still is.
113 total cost
approx 60m funded by tesco
then there were grants and all sorts
oldskyblue often puts the numbers up
do you really think the council would have paid 113m?????
Maybe they didn't actually have to SPEND the 113 million, but they did have it underwrite it when CCFC pulled out of the deal. Why do you think CCC recently had to invest 14 million to prevent ACL going under ?
I suggest you look into the project post 1997 when it commenced, to get to the truth about it financing before saying I write rubbish.....
jimmys hill would be best - imagine us scoring and the players coming towards the hill to milk the applause
~Or after the game, applauding the hill for the support
you would need a couple of hundred minumum however to make it noisy enough - but the more the better
miles off mark cov kid - you will find that to date the football club in rent and decontamination, have put in more than both the council and higgs trust
yet for that they own nothing

100% agree with that, but surely that means we all have to accept that there are differences of opinion amongst us, and that we have to put those differences to one side, not stomp of in a hissy fit because some fans are singing something we might not like. Each to there own and all that !But the fact is, we need all the fans we can get backing the campaign. If people are put off they won't back it.
We need everyone unified.
Perhaps we could buy a cheese and chase it down the hill :facepalm:The only time they fenced off the hill was an FA Cup game v Man Utd and that was due to safety reasons. The hill is quite steep and could be dangerous with loads on it.
All of the speeches yesterday were about coventry playing in coventry, you are right that nobody believes that they will just walk away, but that doesn't mean we can't tell them that's what we would like them to do. It is no more ridiculous than those who think the council should just hand the keys to the ricoh over.I think they are saying it is fine for people to chant if they want as long as that doesn't detract from what we all really want .... and that is the City back in the city.
Basically it needs to be a Coventry in Coventry campaign rather than a Sisu Out one. Fact is, I don't think any of us believe that Sisu will just actually walk away.

Not so sure on this one.
Yes, then are many, many who are anti-Sisu etc., but there are also those who don't wish to take sides (pro ACL/Anti Sisu, pro Sisu, anti ACL), but just wish to see Coventry City playing in Coventry.
We need to unify supporters and this should now be all about keep Coventry in Coventry.
The spotlight shouldn't just be on Sepalla, it should be on all parties involved.
I would urge a re-think.

3 points: (i) these aren't either/or choices. People want to do different things and that's fine. If 11 aug does start at northants then people can do stuff in cov or on jimmy's hill (or wherever else they fancy). It gives us 2 bites, or more, at the PR cherry
Basically it needs to be a Coventry in Coventry campaign rather than a Sisu Out one.
