Why is it? People say that it isn't Coventry City (the team) when they play in Northampton but it is the same team that plays at away games? I have seen things like Cobblers FC, Northampton Reserves, SISU FC and people saying that they don't want to watch SISU FC. Yet when the team gets on a bus and goes to Shrewsbury it is Coventry City again?
We've been here before too haven't we
I have saw a few people say "I cant see Preston bringing many" Just for you NOPM people, Preston have been allocated 900 and they have asked for more so now they have 1,300. So yes they will bring quite a few and yes a few more cov fans are going than they did against Bristol, So yes it will be a higher attendance..
Nick the clue is in the name! Coventry city football club. I think we all have a line, 35 miles is one thousands od fans recognise as too far to still be our team

That I can accept, it is just when people go to away games and support the same team...
The hope is its temporary and we will return I still want us to be successful and come back
I think a cursory look at the results yesterday will show Coventry City FC drew with Preston 4-4.
The fixture list will show their next game is at Shrewsbury.
...I believe that is Coventry City?
Pity if we lose our better players due to lack of money coming in, especially the likes of Wilson.
For the whole season? For 2014-15? 2015-2016? Till 2018 at what point does the name mean nothing in your eyes??

Jesus christ. Firstly, it's a select few people who label them SISU FC, Northampton Reserves, etc. Secondly, I believe the people who are saying that the team are not representative of the city are saying that this is the case that the team moves there on a permanent or even semi permanent basis. Furthermore, surely you understand that going to away games as opposed to home games is a way fans can show their support, get to see the team play, and at the same time (by boycotting "home" games) attempt to starve SISU out by restricting revenue? And therefore prevent it from becoming a team that no longer represents the city? Don't get me wrong, I don't believe you needed it spelling out for you at all, I'm sure you knew this....
Who says 500 tickets were given away?

You will be well aware that the FL have stated on record the temporary ground share is just that 'temporary'? You do understand that don't you? They will not permit CCFC to remain out of the Coventry area.

They will not permit CCFC to remain out of the Coventry area. Of course you can disbelieve the FL if you like but there would be little point in SISU keeping us away from Coventry's catchment area any longer than possible.
Of course if you wish to believe otherwise based on no facts what so ever other than a feeling in your stomach then go ahead...
but you'll be more than happy to cheer on the team alongside the scabs and sisu puppets. Or are they no longer scabs for a week because the game is in Shrewsbury? There are currently well over 3,000 tickets available for Shrewsbury. A cursory glance at the seating plan will show anyone this. I've got my tickets and look forward to the match.
Eastern, can see now exactly where you are coming from.
A real Sisu puppet. And a scab. You're a disgrace.
Hell will freeze over before I watch CCFC at Northampton. Thousands like me.
I'm 22 and i had a ST in the last 3 season of the Prem and I've had one ever since.
Some wum on here is the only source I've heard of.
Beginning to bore me now. Free tickets were given out at the Ricoh. Most would have been childrens tickets given to schools, half term schemes etc, yet I'd put money on it that adults used them without hesitation. Not like tickets get checked before / during entering the turnstiles.
What's the difference now? Is it just another reason to hate SISU?
The suggested difference was free tickets were being given to people in Northants (youth clubs, youth teams etc), and that the proportion was high. Of course Sisu will want to do what they can to promote the view KCIC is crumbling. Possibly desperate times desperate measures....
Where's your source?
Read it and use your brain. 'suggested'and 'possibly' may give you a clue.
Ah, made up then? Sorry, I'm suggesting you possibly made that statement up.
I feel this is fast becoming a thread for Grappa...
Where's your source?
The Police,
They told us on the Sunday they were aware of tickets being given to lots of Youth Clubs in the area
They go round making statements like that, don't they?
