Imagine Liverpool challenging for the league with Murphy on one wing and Kent on the other. Suddenly their bid for Darius Henderson is making sense

So Sordell was here until the end of the season so we have swapped him for Beavon until the end of the 2017/2018 season and Reilly until the end of this season. Sordell is only at Burton until the end of this season though?

Hmmmm

Not that sure of the Sordell 'deal.

We sell a 25 year old who will only get better and swap for a loan (only till end of April) and a 33 year old.......

Smacks of the Callum Wilson 'deal' but without the money.....

It would be good if George Thomas could get a few goals alongside Beavon. I'm sure there's more to Thomas, maybe a goal and a run in the side and he'll be flying
That's a diddy front two though. Beavon is only 5ft 7 and I would guess that Thomas is smaller.

Limits your game if you struggle to win headers.

Surely slade has something else lined up he normally plays with a little and large combination up front in beavon I'm guessing we have the little part sorted

Just checked, Thomas is 5ft 8. I don't think two strikers, one 5ft 8 and one 5ft 7 is going to work too well.

Just to recap - after talks early on New Year’s day, more details are emerging about the policy positions of Northern Wisdom and Hill83 regarding Jordan. Northern has positioned himself firmly on the centre ground, whilst Hill’s views were said to be slightly further to the right. Sources close to Downing Street said that the discussions had been “frank, helpful and constructive”, although news emerging from Bristol suggests that they may soon be overtaken by events on the ground.

You never know how these things work out until they pull a shirt on for you. At least we have done a couple of deals early doors, suggesting Slade is not going to hang around. In recent years we have been slow off the mark in transfer Windows. I am sure there is more business to come outward and inward.

Yes I think he is only a smaller player sounds a bit like an Andy morrel type without the profilic scoring record
No way, this fella can hold the ball. Morrell was a goal sniffer.
However both are/were hard working.

Slade has to re-gig the squad to give options on team, formations, balance and the one goal is to stay up if that means a team full of 30+ year old only here until May so be it. Those enjoying the sport of slagging Jordan Turnbull we might just find playing alongside an experienced centre half will improve him

A number of things from me before heading to the out-laws:

* Great to see 3 signings so early in the window. Rather the first 12 hours than the last like we've been accustomed to.
* Not worried about the lack of goals at this very minute. Well, I am but let's see what these 4 loans that are supposedly following, bring us. Hopefully Slade gets further reinforcements in shortly. I think I'm right in thinking that we won't have a game at the weekend so get the others in so we have time to work with them before our next match.
* Fair play to Murphy if he gets a bigger move. He's had a decent season for Norwich so I'm not surprised he's getting noticed.
* Anyone else put on over half a stone in the past two weeks?

Morell still hard working! He came on as a sub against Nuneaton on Boxing Day and was chasing the ball and players down for the time he was on. Got a yellow card too. I have watched Tamworth a few times this season and to me he stands out as their best player even though he must be 40+ I would have thought. A bit like Strachan stood out for us in the few games he played.

Certainly, but it is no improvement. He isn't the man to keep us up.
With these moves happening immediately as the window opened it's only the start of Slade's rejig. If he's identified players that fit with how he wants to do things I've got more confidence now than with all the round pegs in square holes we've been watching so far
