Expecting a bit of stick but what about Jamie Patterson? Fits the 10/Winger/Striker robins said he wanted. We’ve definitely been interested in the past and Swansea are trying to offload him. He adds something different to O’Hare and Palmer as he’s more of a goal threat and I’d imagine he’d very much be interested.

He hasn’t been interested the last half dozen times

We are probably taking signings to the wire to get a lower price! i hope we destabalise some clubs like they do to us over the years? i find it pathetic really

We need 3 in all honesty, anything less at this point would be slightly disappointing.
Agree, our subs bench isn’t strong enough & now with a couple of our youngsters out on loan we need bodies in.
Eight left in the summer and to date we have only brought ten in one a goalkeeper as we know this is a tough division and a strong bench and reserves are essential.

Would rather Luke Freeman who’s just had his contract ended at Luton if we’re going down that route

Played 26 times for them last year

I can't see us buying a 31 year old?

It would likely be taking over the remainder of his contract like Palmer

We are not short of experience and I think the emphasis is still on players who we can develop and make money on.

If he’s that bad

Id take a CM and a LCB bare minimum. Even think push came to shove we could do without the CB. Absolutely need to replace Hamers role in the team though.
Yep thats the bare minimum for me. Think we need a dynamic explosive forward though too.

The ones we'd prepared for might have left for elsewhere by the time Hamer did.

was just about to say something similar NW and the good ones left everyone’s scrambling over in run up to deadline with selling clubs/agents probably playing buying clubs off against each other.

might go right down to the wire

I am slightly concerned that we haven’t got another midfielder over the line yet. I would have thought there’d be some substantial rumours floating about by now

Agree with you there, it’s disappointing to see us be 3 days from the deadline and seemingly have no one mentioned as a replacement for Gus. I think we should have had a serious list of candidates ready for enquiries to be made when Gus left and for us to be ready to pay £5-£8 million upwards. We saw on Saturday just how lacklustre we are without him, particularly in scrappy games. You could say it’s negotiating tactics but for us to be this close to the deadline with apparently no replacement in sight is pretty worrying tbh.

Agreed. I thought we’d have been more prepared for the possibility of Hamer leaving.

Relax they will have a plan. Wasn't long ago people were losing their minds that we hadn't made a signing other than DaSilva. We clearly had irons on the fire which all fell one after another. Last few weeks of the window are ever changing, we'll likely be competing with other top end championship teams for a similar lost of players. Targets will be holding on for the best offers, better targets may come up late on. The clock is obviously ticking but the team will be fully aware. No point rushing to get someone in for Saturday when it's a long season.

The ones that have come in generally have suddenly come to light the day before signing, so not panicked just yet. Hopefully an absolute star midfielder will suddenly start getting talked about and the next day be peeped at through the Ryton bush.

Who says there isn't a list?! This isn't football manager, deals are complex. Both teams, a player and agents need to be satisfied. Also things like other players becoming an option late on could mean a change of plan. Who knows this talk of O'Brien being available may have diverted our attention. Nothing wrong with that. I'm 100% confident that they have a plan and that we will see a new midfielder in by the end of the window.

They haven't disappointed with transfers yet, I don't know why people are being so negative/panicked
