Decent half let down by an awful goalkeeping mistake and poor finishing.

Some decent performances, not sure what Saka has to do to win a freekick. Allen has been excellent, MVE been excellent too but awful deliveries, Sheaf and Eccles have been really good at breaking play in midfield.

Saka will never get a decision
Ref very lax on their time wasting
Should be 0-0
We are nowhere near good enough to give teams a cheap goal
So very very frustrating
Wilson bloody hell
Shouldn’t be losing but if you can’t score and give goals away that’s what will happen and continue to happen

We've done okay, but had to go 1-0 down before we started playing. We've created a few decent chances, just look like we have a lot of players that don't know how to take them.

Allen and Saka been decent.

Wright's had a couple of chances and spurned them.

Sheaf not at his best today and cannot shoot.

MVE much more aggressive going forwards today which is good to see.

Kitching looked good - enjoyed him getting stuck in with Sakamoto near the end.

No read the thread so gonna just post my thoughts and then see how they align for a laugh.

Scoreline aside I think we've played really well, the energy of Allen and Sake is spot on, Wright looks dangerous, MvE as well. Eccles having a decent game.

Sheaf and Wilson to blame for the goal.

Should be 0-0? How?

It’s easy to ‘look good’ when the opposition are happy to sit on their 1-0 lead and aren’t bothered about having the ball. We are completely toothless and so easy to defend against. Wright has been hopeless as a lone striker and the wing backs have offered very little offensively. Sakamoto and Allen playing well but are just getting crowded out by the Baggies defence. Sheaf has been awful.

Goal aside (and slow start), think we've played pretty well first half. Much better than midweek. Box feels the right formation. Sakamoto, Eccles and Van Ewijk all played really well. Haji Wright has made a few good runs and been unlucky with a couple of tight offside decisions. There's life in the team yet.

It’s not shite at all we need a fucking striker that doesn’t hide half the game and when he does get it , doesn’t have a clue.

Amateur goalkeeping. Very unconfident striker. Apart from that we look quite sharp. Allen and Sakamota looking busy and linking well. Van Ewijk and Da Silva better than recent. Eccles has stepped up.
Unfortunately I think WBA will not be as bad second half.

Not sure you can accuse Van Ewijk of offering little offensively.

Frustrating half especially the way we conceded. MVE is such a speedy player if he had a sense of direction and could cross we’d be lethal.

Been defending Haji for a while now but for the money we’ve paid, should be getting a tonne more from him. Where’s the version of him gone from the Leicester and Boro game. Guy looks like he’s never heard of the offside rule and he don’t need to be playing on the shoulder of the last man against most CBs in this league.

We are too timid

Definitely. Have been since Robins arrived. Even with Doyle, we were soft. He stood out like a sort thumb trying to get at the ref.

Refs not the best but we can’t blame him for this.

no direction, no structure, no connection between the squad

can hardly string 2 passes together

We've got 67% possession you loon, how have we managed that without stringing two passes together?
