Makes me smile when people talk about 'new' fans. We have a big fan base. A very fractured and disillusioned one, but it is there. Every now and then a game comes along where everyone wants to go to. Be it a homecoming, a JPT semi-final or a trip to Wembley. The club have 85,000 unique individuals logged on the database who have bought tickets at some point over the past few years.

They'll be a few first timers, especially kids, but good. What better way to get them interested? I am sure Oxford fans had the same discussions when they took 34,000 last season, and then followed up with a home gate of 6 or 7K. It's Wembley, embrace it*

*but I do hope everyone who wants a ticket gets one.

Informative and well reasoned post as usual Ferret. Don't worry. I'll post something to lower the tone again shortly.

Surely, there's at least one set of identical twins.

I'm registered 3 times. Once when I forgot my details and another time when I moved house and they ballsed up my account.

My son was registered twice, (don't know why. no reason he should have been), was on the phone for ages to Ticketmaster trying to get tickets on his ST.
Sorted eventually.

Picked up 2 tickets in block 124, from a ST holder and fellow fan off here. Not everyone who isn't ST holder is a plastic!! Being part of 40k city fans is going to be amazing. I hope everyone who wants tickets gets one PUSB

I understand why season ticket holders get 6 tickets & I think it's about right. Maybe, as others have said, 4 would be more reasonable , but season ticket holders are there every week & spending hundreds ( sometimes thousands ) a year on tickets. And watching dross week in week out too ... Why shouldn't they get the chance to take their wife / husband, mum/ dad, kids to a big Wembley event like this. They have earns & paid for that right

I appreciate there will be a few genuine fans, that are genuinely only able to attend a few matches a season , that feel they might miss out on a ticket because of this allocation ... but it seems there are a lot more people that go up once a season with their mates, just to go on the piss, then spend the rest of the time telling season ticket holders how they are wasting their money by going up every week, that now seem to think it's their god given right to get a ticket!

Sorry if that sounds harsh, but our gates suggests that it's a fair overview

I don't think anyone who really wants to go will miss out. I can't see Oxford or Luton selling out their allocations so we could maybe get as many as 50,000 tickets. Plus there will be plenty of tickets being sold by touts outside the ground and I can't imagine the prices will be more than x2 face value.

ST holders are making me laugh here, talk of plastic fans and coming out the woodwork, listen to yourself's you think you are special. The one thing i can't get my head round is why are the St holders allowed 6 tickets each,i mean you only hold one seat in the ricoh, perhaps they thought well at least giving them 6 each we might sell some .6 x 6000 .36000..ah well!! it is only the checkatrade trophy dudes! even if we win the thing, not really going to shout it from the rooftops are we,you know people will laugh at us..cya their

What makes me laugh are posters who've constantly mocked season ticket holders as sisu puppets who would now gladly go down on all fours for Tim if he waived a ticket in front of them.

Who has mocked ST holders?

Take a journey to the CT site.

Andy Turner is now Andy Turncoat and in bed with sisu. Soon redeemed himself with a couple of negative items to be fair.

I'd rather not thanks. I occasionally scroll too far on a non football story and that's bad enough.

Dadgad on here said all season ticket holders are worms.

I still think it's bullshit that ST holders get 6 tickets. Not because they don't deserve to get an advantage, but because 6 is such a big number that it will probably mean they offer them to a mate who asks a mate and then before you know it they're all taken up, and I've seen plenty of people on facebook going who haven't been to a game for 20 years.

Do I want them to not be able to go, or not have a chance of getting a ticket? No of course not. One of the benefits of these kind of games is it might rekindle the flame.
But those people getting a ticket when I can't, and I go to 5-10 games a season, have a SBP subscription, listen to the game every week when I can't make it and watch sw88 commentary religiously....is a very hard pill to swallow.
Makes you feel pretty disengaged as a fan tbh. Just my thoughts

I don't know what people are moaning about! I've been to 1 game this season - the semi final. If I miss out it's my own fault for being such a part timer this season!

My interest in all things ccfc had really faded to a point I barely even bothered to look out for the scores. The chance of Wembley has reignited my interest but it's my own fault if I miss out!

Anyone got a seat map of the lower tier, how many seats are left? Can't log into my account for some reason
I had a look a minute ago and most only have 10-15 left at most, some blocks literally have 1 spare seat. We're going to see a lot of those blocks go red tomorrow.

Cheers, promised my mate a ticket in the lower tier and bought 6 for my family and left him out as I forgot, feel bad now so trying to get an extra. Doubt I'll get one in the lower tier though :banghead:

You’re not a “part-timer” though are you, you’ve basically stopped, so don’t equate yourself with the thousands of people who go to as many games as they can without being ST holders (like robbiekeane on this thread), and who have been completely sidelined by the club.

I totally get that season tickets deserve priority, but 6 tickets per ST holder? That often means 12, 18, or 24 for a family!

Totally predictable feeding frenzy for best seats; shortage of tickets for the non-ST supporters (the very people they need to woo above all else); broken promise to people who went to Checkatrade matches (including you); random uncles and cousins getting in ahead of proper fans; hopelessly unprepared at the ticket office. Yep, that sounds like CCFC.

The club hierarchy are hopelessly out of touch with a city that has been starved of any sort of pride in its football club for 15 years, and was obviously going to be gagging for this event.

We’re run by clueless no-hopers IMO. I want success so I wish it wasn’t the case, but they seem determined to keep proving it at every opportunity.

I don’t mean to put a damper on this Wembley trip btw, I think it’s brilliant for everyone who goes.
