Whelan's already touting for the job on twitter. Not sure thats how you get appointed manager!

I'd love to get Graham Alexander in but we've got zero chance of getting someone like that. Maybe with new owners and a viable plan for moving forward we could but not as things are at the moment.

Ricketts would be the obvious choice, or Oggy. But surely they wouldn't need a further announcement tomorrow. Would just be a 'will take change until the end of the season' type statement in the press release.

But as they are saying a further announcement tomorrow there must be someone lined up. Does that point to someone like Robins or Pressley?

I'd be happy with Mark Robins, experienced in the game, familiar with the set up here. I'd even allow Sam Ricketts to assist him

I'm not convinced Robbins is the right choice. A journeyman manager with nothing to lose? Hmm. he had a good spell with us and it all went a bit wrong like every other manager we have had bar Slade where it never even got stated!
I would much rather had seen a hungry manager from league 2 or the conference with ambition and desire come and get stuck in. The Cowley brothers would have been fun to watch happen. Once again though we get another hack unemployed who collects clubs with some minor success...none of which has been achieved in his last 4 or 5 post. i know MR has it in him but does he have the spirit and fight? can he get lucky? The Cowley brothers on the other hand are on the upward cycle and desperate to prove their pedigree. With MR we just recycle the same old toilet water I fear. On paper though MR's is maybe the best we can get for where we are now, so at least that's something and 90% improvement on Slade's ineptitude. i don't think I'm even sure of anything anymore with this club, may as well pick one out of a hat. I like MR though and sure the players will too.

I think Robins will improve the team's performance in the short term, although I admit that I thought Slade would do that too.

With Sisu as owners, it's pretty much impossible for any manager to succeed long term.
