And all the patter is coming from you.

So do you blame Bigi for us getting relegated?

Bet you would have blamed him if we would have lost at Wembley although he had a good game.
No I don't, was just on the wind up. Thanks for taking the bait.

Disappointed by this one, I thought he would stay due to having a genuine affection for the club. Then again, he's now had two chances to leave and has left both times so I guess he hasn't quite got sky blue blood. Still, obviously makes sense for him on a financial level and I would imagine the draw of playing Celtic and Rangers is bigger than Stevenage and Forest Green.

On a sidenote, I'm always surprised at the delusion of some people. I noticed several comments on the CT story of people shocked that Motherwell is a bigger draw than City and this shows how far we have fallen. Motherwell has probably been a bigger draw since about 2003!
And does he know that he won't understand them most of the time?

Disappointed but not that surprised. Thought he would stay in L1. Motherwell might be a good move for him; certainly a higher level of football...just hope he gets on well. If we had hung on to him I would have been pleased as I think he would have been v good in L2

That CT story doesn't fill you with confidence that he's going to settle there, does it? Mentions that he didn't know anything about Motherwell and that there's been tears and arguments at home about him joining! I'm sure he'll be back in the heart of our midfield for our 2019/20 relegation to the Midland League.

Id guess he is only one of two players who've been relegated at this club twice in its history.

We can count Bigi, Jordan Willis and Lee Burge as relegated twice in modern times with CCFC

It probably is a higher level of football than league 2, but only just.

Not saying this has any relevance but in Bigi's first full season we got relegated from the championship. He then left and joined us again in November 2015 when we were 2nd. He then leaves today when we are in league two. Funny that

It has no relevance. I do think though if that fool Mowbray hadn't took him and Cole and ditched JOB we'd have been promoted.

His performance levels in that season were dire by anyone's standards. We should have just stated well clear.

If his latest experiment flops the love story will start again - we really then need to tell him we are not a registered charity for former failed footballers.

Funny how you're not bothered about morals but write so many words crying about SISU making the decision not to invest any more money into the club as if they're morally obliged.

Why have you turned it into a Sisu topic, i never stated our owners, i stated the whole game and business of football. If we are honest, the game doesn't allow morals, loyalty or anything else sincere anymore. Its corrupt to the core and its players are the product that are openly and with knowledge used to fuel it. So if anyone is looking for those things, i would say the stands are the only place you will find these aspects within the game anymore.

Many players don't like the game, multiple owners don't understand the business and managers only understand the % of long term positions and value they have within it. I stopped at 10 searching or believing that i was watching anything other than 11 players doing a weekly job, that is sadly the blind fact.

As for our owners they are and are proving to be one of the worst ownership within the game, that is being recognized nationally over all type of media outlets, but if you think differently or have facts that state different then i have no problem with it just will not agree with you. They should have like all owners a moral obligation to the care of the club and games integrity but again in the real world this is a long ago and far away concept that is being practiced around the country and world.

I think this deal makes sense, provided that Doyle and Kelly do the business in midfield. I like Bigi but hard to see where he'd start unless we played a tight diamond.

Had a few great games for us, and he clearly cares deeply about the game. I think on balance though I would want a tough and more experienced midfield in this league. Maybe we'll miss Bigi's work rate (which at times was relentless), but I do feel Doyle and Kelly will be much more consistent and make fewer errors.

Good luck Bigi

That was my point ..

No your point was he'd be on 6 times more. Given he's a failed league one footballer my suggestion yo you is hed be very near the average. The club has less than 5,000 fans.

He could be on a lot less

Exactly so posting what the average wage is was meaningless. A bit like your stance on the relevance of a budget eh?

I'm sorry to see him go, mostly because he's a Cov kid and seems like a thoroughly decent type. I think he'd have been good for us next season - he'd started to make progress again, imho.

His agent sounds like an arse though, and I think Bigi has been very poorly advised. I can't see him settling at Motherwell and his career can't take too many more knocks.

Well no because an average based on a relatively small number of contributors to that average is a strong indicator. It's extremely unlikely as an example he'd by on double the average. If he was than according to one poster he was on £16k a year here.

I liked bigi for the fact that he left nothing out on the pitch, very hard working player. But even in league 2 we can do better than him. We need players to keep the ball in midfield and dictate the tempo of the game, and although he tried he doesn't have that ability. Midfield looks solid at the moment with Kelly and Doyle in there, just hope we can keep Stevenson to add a bit of flair in their.

Really have my doubts about Thomas signing now, especially if the spl is consisted above us. The lad will have numerous offers I'm sure just hope he sticks it with us!

Very odd choice to be honest. The Scottish leagues are even more physical than ours, can't see it going too well but with the standard being so poor it might not matter. Hopefully he steers clear of the deep frying establishments, I know I couldn't when I was up there.

Could I just point out that the curse of the London Supporters' Club Player of the Season award has struck again - every time this gets awarded, the player leaves shortly afterwards

2017 - Bigi - gone to Motherwell without playing another game after receiving award
2016 - Vincelot - joined Bradford during the summer following winning the trophy
2015 - O'Brien - loaned out part-way through the following season, then later left
2014 - Baker - had contract cancelled by mutual consent 1 month into the following season
2013 - Murphy - left for Huddersfield during the summer
2012 - Keogh - joined Derby in the close season following the award
2011 - Westwood (joined Sunderland that summer)

Can't go further back without checking. It's getting uncanny.

Shame 2016 couldn't have been a joint award for Tudgay, Gadzhev, Burge, in fact the lot of them.

Why do fans assume loyalty plays any part in contracts, they are doing a job and want to make as much as they can while able too, as we all do in our daily life. Also what we offered in wages were obviously not as much or as good in add ons as that what Motherwell offered, even with the relocation in play.

In football i don't look for morals, hero's or role models they are the just doing a job and would move if the money gives them stability after they finish. Unless you are of a certain age these things will bother you, if you are older its all business and most should understand and not get worked up over the reality of the game today.
You are not wrong-but there is no need then to come out and say all this "our club-my club I love" cobblers and then he wouldn't be taken to task.

Think the thing that annoys me is we never seem to have anyone come through and stay, I know he went but him coming back felt right last year and in those last 10 games he did well.

I just miss the days when there wasn't such a churn of players every year

I'll be proper gutted if George decks off too
Yep-that's because they are never good enough!
