I'm not sure we should even judge after 5/6 games! Lets just give Boothroyd our support, and keep our fingers crossed!!

5/6 games is definately too short to judge a manager! He might start off poorly and end up on a massive high or he might do a Peter Reid and start off brightly and finish a load of poop, we just don't know. All I know is none of the Leicester fans wanted Pearson and now the foxes love him and everyone else wants him to be their manager (except me)

I'm getting behind Boothroyd. He did well at Watford with zero resources, and did pretty well at Colchester for the little time he was there.

I'm just glad it wasn't Cotterill, anyone who saw his Burnley side should be breathing a sigh of relief!

It is what it is... Let's give him a chance, and more importantly our support.

Saw the BBC report on Boothroyd's appointment, and they've only gone and quoted that fucking prick NEO in the guise of CoventryMoose... Hopefully the coalition will close the wankers down... Saving me my licence money.

Haha I noticed that when I read the BBC page at work earlier, gotta laugh really that our WUM gets the mention from 606 on the main article!! Shows that they pay attention to everyone complaining about him.

People can turn up when and for wich game they want football is a leisure activity so who are you to tell people not to turn up to the big games the more the merrier it's about time our fans stop being so thick skulled it's clear if the footballs bad people aren't going to turn up and vice verser if it's good they will or would you rather us playing against chelsea with the 15,000 fans we have wich turn up week in week out and create no atmosphere?

Don't think because you have season ticket it gives you the right to talk down to people as it don't work like that and i have not done that once in the stupid amount of years i have been a season ticket holder, jeez get a grip!

So why do people want to go and watch CCFC against Chelsea and not against Aldershot or Hartlepool? It was at the same ground, same distance for them to travel?

It really pissed me off at the Chelsea game the amount of people who were not even City Fans there.

after watching sky sports news and listening to Aidy, i feel better. I am still excited for next season and my comment regards 5/6 games before judging, was directed at people slagging off his style/him before we have even started. give him chance i meant. i love my club and i just hope his apparent enthusiasm and commitment is geniune and brings the best out of the decent players we have and (hopefully) any decent players we bring in.
Irish SB, fixtures should be out early july. Get yourself over for the first home game, straight in. Start of the season is always buzzing.....Rocking Ricoh.

Yeah you're right it is a leisure but being a football fan isn't your average 'leisure'. People don't go and pay to go to the cinema with mindset of 'Oh I really hope the money I spent on this cinema ticket will go towards the cinema getting some better films in or better seats for everyone to sit on' - whereas football fans like to see how the money they spend at the club is being used to create a football team. It is the people who turn up for the bad games who are ultimately funding for potentially better times. If you only want to turn up for the big games, fine - but I know that the team needs a win and 3 points and the support no matter who we are up against whether we are playing Preston, Middlesborough or Leicester or whoever. If we ever make the play-offs then that will have been funded by the ST holders only for the fairweather fans to hop onto the bandwagon and bask in it. We are however less likely to get the big games in the first place if fewer people sign up and commit to a season, simples. If we were getting around 23-25k at games we wouldn't have had to sell players like Dann and Fox in the first place to break even. So to all the fans who think the are clever by making a 'well I'm not going to get a season ticket until Ranson splashes out' protest, you are only going to make things worse in the long run because we are only spending what we have got, which could be more if 'thick-skulled' fans didn't judge managers before they've even had a single game in charge. Do some research his record in the Championship is quality considering the side he had and he has been fully committed to coaching since the age of 26. I have warmed to Boothroyd even more after his interviews since taking the job. Give the poor bloke a chance, do we really want to get a reputation for being the hardest fans in football to satisfy??? If the fans get a bad reputation then I'm afraid no-one anywhere near as good as Aidy will want to come here and want to do a job for us. It's as Ranson says, it's our football club and if we're not going to turn up then there won't be as much funding available for the team.

Fair play to you for having a season ticket for however long though, it's a shame you don't feel like renewing at the moment and I hope you change your mind...

Aidy Boothroyd's Sky Blue Army!!

I understand where your coming from, but us season ticket holders are fed up with funding the club and getting nothing in return.I have renewed,i handed over nearly a £1000 in the ticket office in the week and i cant tell you how much i didnt want to! The trouble is,is ive had one for that long i feel like its my duty to get one(sad i know).

I feel that this is a make or break season for ranson, hes got to deliver some kind of success,in my opinion this will only happen by him dipping in the transfer market with a few million quid,if he doesnt, then what was the point in sacking coleman? We need a left back and two strikers asap, maybe a central midfielder aswell.I dont care where he gets the cash from(as long as it doesnt come from selling westwood)as ccfc chairman its his job to find inverstment.Weve tried the cheap and cheerfull way for the last two and a half years and it hasnt worked out.

I know its our football club but the fairweather fans will not part with their hard earned until they see an improvement on the pitch, crap i know but thats how it is.This is down to two men, boothroyd(who i dont think will take any crap)and most importantly the chairman.

Good luck to him, I'm definitely not going to criticize him before he's even took charge for a game.

I'm probably renewing my season ticket :)

Sorry lads I feel I have to step in and defend the man. He certainly doesn't deserve the vitriol he gets from many quarters.

He got us promoted with absolutely squat. We were second favourites to go down. He sold our only decent player in Helguson for little over a million to get the funds to buy the players he did. It is a small wonder we got promoted, especially playing the kind of football we were.

We weren't hoofing it in promotion season. It was direct yes, but it was quality play. We would take teams apart sometimes, it was great stuff. We were certainly a very entertaining team, one of the best seasons of football in recent memory.

Of course we get promoted and have very little money to spend having paid off the debts, and with the crooks we had running the club they let Boothroyd literally spend money we didn't have and they pocketed £600k salaries themselves. We only had King and Henderson up front, and King got injured in October and was out the rest of the season.

He had no experience and it showed, and then when we came down he spent very badly indeed - BUT he should never have been allowed to spend that kind of money in the first place!

He is somebody with a lot of potential who has been accused of hoofball on the basis of a poor last 3 months where the spirit was gone. He has a bit more experience now too, which can only be good. Expect a hard working, honest and highly motivated team - and some very entertaining soundbites. You could do a lot worse.

Well said 'Watford?'

I'm behind Boothroyd 100%, he needs time to prove himself, a lot of our fans were moaning and slating him before he'd even signed as if we have been a team pushing for the top 6 for the past 9 seasons and should be getting a lot better... We are lucky to get someone like Aidy in my opinion seeing as we have spent 9 seasons in the bottom half!

I look forward to next season, and hopefully 2 cracking games against Watford as long as we win! I didn't manage to get down to Vicarage Road last season cos it was a Tuesday night game but it's on my grounds to go to list for next season!

didnt blackpools promotion team cost 800k in transfer fees?

people who want ranson to splash the cash are usually very very bad at football manager games

I like to use cheats and make my players the best in the world. The amount of times Thornton went to Barca for £30 million!

I went to the Ricoh myself the season just gone, but you were against Sheff United with a couple of Cov fans and a United fan. Its a nice stadium, but there were far too many empty seats. I would imagine if was at capacity it would be quite impressive indeed. Was cheap too, its just a shame its so bleeding difficult to get to without a car!

Of course the high point was the Casino. Had a good night out to - but stayed in the Formula One hotel - good God! :D

Good luck next season regardless lads, I'm sure you'll do ok.
