Why can't people see how good Wright is? Yes he's missed a few good chances but that's probably because he's trying too hard. The constant criticism doesn't help.
IMO he is going to be a great player for us.

Not sure what game you were watching but he was very good today. He played a couple of silly passes and looked like he’d forgot his brain at home on occasion but he made some excellent runs and drew defenders out to him to make space. At the minute he couldn’t finish a wank but hopefully that’ll improve.

He has the potential to be a top player for us and on recent showings I think it’s only fair to judge on a full season. If by the end of the season we’ve seen nothing else then sure we can debate his price and whatever then but I’m positive.

At worst you could summarise his season so far as below expectations but the absolute vitriol and sensationalism is embarrassing.

He’s obviously not scoring as many chances as we would like, need, and expect him to. But like it or not he’s our player and being a c**t about him all the time won’t make him any better

With slightly better finishing he'd be top scorer in the league. That can be worked on and improved. The fact he's having so many chances is the big positive.

The unfortunate thing is, he does have the attributes to be a quality striker. He’s just a bad footballer. Should of tried for a career in sprinting

He’s a truly odd player - clearly looks a handful, gets in good positions and frightens defenders with his pace and movement. But the finishing has been very poor so far. Let’s not even start on his link-up play. He’s a valuable player for us, but certainly not £7.5 million worth of value at the moment.
