.............. and what's the betting that the "Kingdom" becomes the next dictatorship with Ezekiel being just a big badass like Negan?

Yeah I like it, I don't see how its changed at all. People seem to complain about these ridiculous villains and characters but they forget that the source material is a comic book. The scene where Megan gutted the guy by the pool table at the end of last half season is taken almost shot for shot from that.

I enjoyed it, bit odd, but introduced a new group and edging closer to Neegans group getting their comeuppance.

Much better episode. With Eugene it's ambiguous as to whether he is being seduced by the Saviours or just trying to stay out of trouble, you could make a case for either side. He's suddenly one of the most interesting characters on the show.

Really?

I find him annoying and dull and thought last night's episode was Paddington Central.

Seem to be padding things out by devoting whole episodes to peripheral characters (Tara, Eugene).

Seemed very much like a filler episode for me.

I thought it was just passable.

Hope it doesn't go the way of Lost and keep dedicating whole episodes to pretty much one single character.

Oh and Negan is becoming far too cartoonish. More a joke than an ice cold killer.

I didn't like the Tara one because there's little to her character and then here's a load of new people you won't see for months, but the Eugene one felt more fleshed out. The Saviours and their home is one of the key elements of the series now so anything focused on that or Alexandria feels more relevant, whereas the inevitable episode 15 of 'Remember Heath? Here's where he's been' I can already feel myself fast-forwarding through.

Yeah.

I think I am biased because I really don't like the Eugene character at all.

In reality someone would have ran him through right at the start of the outbreak.

I really like the actor who plays him which probably helps. Same with Negan's non-Dwight understudy, as soon as Trevor from GTA rolled up I was right on board

I love the show last episode wasnt bad also anyone see the theory about when rick was at the rubbish dump and he smiled people saying was a plane behind him? Ive read bit of the comics aswell, only thing gets annoying about the show is kind same issues every season things go good then go shit and groups fight eachother, was interesting in season 1 when they were trying find out what caused the issue id like see more about the virus with governments involved bit more news from around the world its gone stale just keeping it to same place and repeating different groups fighting for same issues every season.

Has Judith been written out or has she been eaten? Never see or hear about her lately? Will she return as a "walker" or in her case, a crawler!

Alive still. Was a sequence this season where Rick told Michonne that he knows that she isn't his. That's been about it. Surprised that they didn't follow the comic with that character.

Think either carl or michonne will die next, following the convo between rick a d michonne, just don't feel like the group can get away with eventually beating the saviours without somebody big dying. Don't think it will be Daryl, carol or rick. But as you say somebody is about to die.

Really liked this episode, couple of corny bits, but it was a good episode.
The CGI/superimposed deer at the fairground was naff. Looked incredibly cheaply done.

Also the Samurai sword bit was like something out of an Indiana Jones film.

A good episode though, yeah.

Bit more action tonight, but again, it just seems to be dealing with isolated characters now. All a bit space-filling.

You'd think someone must have watched back the parts with the deer and decide to drop it based on embarrassment if nothing else.

Totally agree.

They are definitely stretching things out. It's seems sometimes like it's going into Lost territory and focusing on one character each week.

I knew there was something i forgot to write, that was it. I thought the deer was terrible, it was horribly horribly done, cannot understand how they can go to so much effort in other parts, but then put such a bad CGI in.

I think the idea is to build an affiliation with the characters that are now alive. With Glenn dead, and carol off hiding from the world, we only have Carl Rick and Daryl left from the first season. Think we need to gain more connection with the main characters for us to become more attached to them, before now, we have never really got a chance to learn to care for the likes of Tara, Rosita, Sasha, Eugene, Morgan.

Stunned me too.

How did the producers pass that as being okay?

It was dreadful.

The other thing annoying me is the Rosita obsession thing.

Yeah, we all get you want to kill Negan, but...

1. It is almost certain to fail (one or two lone gunmen against multiple hundreds of Saviours)

And

2. If they managed it what do they think would happen to all their friends and everyone back at the Hilltop and Alexandria?

The blowback on that would be huge with a revenge massacre being the likely conclusion as to what would happen next

It's dumb, ill thought out, ridiculous, a death wish and clearly won't work.

We can forgive Carl because he's just an hormonal kid, but anyone with half a brain wouldn't plan a suicide mission such as this.

It's daft.

Yeah, I do get that, but for me, Rosita, Sasha and Eugene are all very weak characters and not richly drawn enough to carry any weight.

Morgan I think is a great character, tortured and conflicted. I like Jesus too and then obviously there is Rick, Michonne, Daryl, Carol.

I am even warming to Gabriel a bit more. Tara I quite like too, but some of these characters they are focusing on have very little depth. Rosita in particular. I find her incredibly one dimensional.

Would any of us care one jot if she died?
