Booked a free parking space at Wealdstone FC. They're opening up their bar and are hoping to put on a BBQ for us weather permitting. It's close to Ruislip station for a short tube ride in.
Should make this for one before the game as this is our chosen route ! - How did you book your parking looked on the website but no mention ?

I can attest that Suggs at least once imbibed in the Crown & Anchor in Drummond St (well at a table outside) which is a short distance from Euston (go out at the back of the station not the front).

Greetings folks..... you are lucky getting the Green Man end of Wembley. The GM generally have external bars with extortionately priced cans etc. And you can have a bit of a knees up....

T`other end seems to be a mish mash of pubs that can`t cope or 1970`s nightclubs with very extortionately priced warm cans.

Coventry City fans have been invited to take the stress out of Checkatrade Trophy final day by parking for free at Wealdstone FC.

The Conference South club – which shares a common hero in Stuart Pearce who signed for the Sky Blues back in 1983 – is based in Ruislip, around seven miles from Wembley, and is confident of looking after up to 600 City supporters on Sunday, April 2.

It is a five-minute walk from Ruislip tube station which is a 15-minute tube ride to Wembley Park (the fare is £1.50 using a contactless card and trains go every 8-10 minutes).

The family friendly club even provides a playing area for children and will spark up a barbeque if there's enough interest for fans to get the party started ahead of the match which will see Russell Slade 's men play either Luton Town or Oxford United.

A Wealdstone FC spokesman said: “Our car park enables coaches, mini buses and cars to park up in a secure environment and, being just off the main road down to the Polish War Memorial junction on the A40/M40, a quick get-away after the game.

“We have the added advantage that your vehicles will not have to negotiate the Wembley Stadium traffic or spend an hour getting out of their coach park.

“We always have two real ales on tap as well as a selection of lagers, ciders etc. Drink pricing is as reasonable as we can allow – around £3.50 a pint.

“We have an advantage over pubs in that ours is a family-friendly environment. Although children are allowed in the bars, we have a number of adjacent football pitches which allow kids to run around. If there are sufficient numbers our supporters club will run a barbeque.

“We’ve hosted Man City, Aston Villa, Swansea numerous times and, just this last weekend Southampton fans for the EFL Cup Final against Manchester United with a minimum of 600 of them using us as a base both pre and post match every time they’re at Wembley.

“We’ve hosted many clubs since we moved to Ruislip and all will give glowing testimonials of how they were treated.

“We do not ask for a charge to park but hope that supporters will use our facilities”.
