Does anyone remember this article from back in December
    http://www.coventrytelegraph.net/news/coventry-news/wasps-rfc-talks-severn-trent-10576047

Supposedly they then shifted their attention to developing on what is already at the Higgs towards the north of the site because it is the easier/cheaper option. Do these supposed "talks" which have taken place have any implications for a possible expansion of the site to accommodate both teams in the future, or is it just a no-no? There certainly seems to be enough land to create further pitches.

Also I read that somewhere that the Wasps' development will mean that the public footpath by the pitches will no longer be "public" so to speak; that is, it will be closed off. I can imagine why - most top rugby clubs would not like the idea of their training being view-able to the public. Can anyone confirm this?

Wasps won't bother buying that land, they for everything they needed for significantly cheaper by doing the deal with the Higgs Centre.

There was no need to we had the Higgs. If Fisher had announced he was looking to undertake a similar project at Higgs, paid for by others if we're following Wasps plan, people would think he had lost it to a greater extent than ever before.

Simple fact of the matter is we have (had) an academy, Wasps could and should have built their own to increase the sporting provision in the city rather than take ours because its a cheaper option.

I can't imagine any other clubs supporters letting something like this happen so passively.

Forget SISU, look who the centre is named after. There is no way if Alan Higgs or his son were still alive they would have tolerated this treatment of the club.

If we couldn't put money into academy facilities we should have laid roots by being firm on a long term commitment.
I suspect Higgs etc also had an old score to settle when we just upset them before and moved out elsewhere.
Wasn't there an issue with replacement of equipment that saw us move out ?
Wasn't there also an issue with financing of the indoor 3G where the club didn't contribute?
Could be argued we pay rent but some sort of contribution might distinguish us from just being just another booking at the Higgs.

What does that mean? Are Land Rover pulling out? Or are you talking about the Stadium sponsor?

Tim would have lost it to a greater extent than ever before. No one wants to work with our owners. I'm sure even Tim is aware of that.

Yes, everyone having a go at Wasps for doing the obvious. This is what SISU should be doing instead of constant pointless litigation. SISU were here first. Joy majored in real estate and Tim has investors lined up. Bollocks.... Instead of being property developers to finance the club, we're bottom of the League soon to be either homeless or someone else's tenant or partner.

I'm roundly against filling in the green belt myself so I hope some endangered toad or something is found on this land.

However, it looks like Wasps have yet another money spinning plan which pours cold water on the wishful thinking they'll fail to repay their bonds.

It is even possible, in fact I reckon probable that these details were proposed to full council in camera and provides a rationale for the unanimous votes to support Wasps acquisition.

Each scheme they come up with shows what business pygmies SISU really are in comparison.
