Back to being the biggest club in Coventry? (19 Viewers)

Really? One stand behind a goal and a few rows for segregation are more than a third of the stadiums capacity? That can't be right.
It was only 17k with some of that stand opened and the segregation

I'm not seeing how we could get 21k with the segregation and that stand closed.

I think this demonstrates the lack of knowledge, or interest, in what has happened at the Ricoh for non CCFC fans.
There's obviously an interest as they have written a letter in. It's probably more the level of reporting to educate people.

Still not true though. I would be interested to know who did it and what the motivation was.

Probably to reinforce the lie that Coventry are now smaller than Wasps so therefore don't need the full stadium capacity whereas the massive rugby club do.

That is because there was only about 1200 Vale fans, if they had the demand to sell the tickets then segregation area would be much smaller, if they had brought 4 or 5k then it would have been about 21/22k.

The north stand behind the goal which is closed must only hold about 7k? that's 25k, max one block for segregation which at a guess is about a 1000 seats.

Ah that makes sense. although it doesn't work like that as the club open the other stand rather than move home fans in there.

They really are pathetic; there is also another gushing article about them in Telegraph.

The whole thing is a massive farce. Not a surprise to see toni and italia understand the Bedworth bellend.

It's an art to understand where people are coming from.
He's typical of most non CCFC people who will only see a successful stadium with teams doing well as opposed to an empty stadium with CCFC in Northampton.

His problem was making an opinion in a paper without understanding the full issues, but that's how he sees it.

My take is that these type of people are in the majority and that similarly most Coventry rate payers will think CCC have done a good job.

To be bothered enough to write into the telegraph, they're obviously avid readers of the telegraph so have formed their opinion on the one sided reporting in it.

I work with a lot of non Ccfc supporting Coventry rate payers and they're disgusted that they would sell the stadium to a london rugby club.

All they see is what they read in the telegraph, I know people like it.

The media is powerful.

They will skimp over the boring detail and just see the headlines.
A mate in the pub has the telegraph and just gives me the headline and when he I try to explain his eyes glaze and I have to stop before he drops off. Come to think about it, that happens to me all the time ;)

Like wasps are debt free now they have the bonds?

Like wasps are great because they dropped London, clubs should be called the place they play in. (I've heard Anne's going to change name Coventry to Wasps, so that Wasps don't have to put Coventry in front of their name...)

I think the worst thing they can do is put Coventry in their name. They will leave it as it is an rely on their brand.

I hear some laughable stuff, then when you explain certain things it blows their mind.

The last one was that complaint about the council.

"Fucking SISU, have you seen they have just put a complaint in about the council? Shit thing to do now we are top of the league"
"They did it in May"
"Oh, did they? I thought they had just done it now?"

I agree. As soon as they change their name they will limit their appeal.

Balderdash...... What about the stadium debt ?

Sisu were okay when they took us over but since they moved us I want them out.
Better to change your opinion on them than to follow their bull5hit blindly.
Most CCFC fans were outraged with Northampton.
Most CCFC fans are not happy that Wasps have our stadium but understand how Sisu gambled with our club and lost.

The stadium would be financed through bonds for want of a better example but I know you're ok with them ;). Therefore we would have to pay back a certain amount not to dissimilar to Wasps. We wouldn't necessarily have to find 30 million in hard cash straight away. They moved us for business reasons though again not too dissimilar to Wasps relocation, again you're ok with that. I hated them and thought it was all their fault. Now I realise it weren't. So wouldn't say I've exactly followed their bullshit blindly. Most were yes, in part to a PR campaign carried out by our local council and paper. The last point isn't worth answering.

So what did they hope to gain from moving us out of Coventry ? You've lost me.

Following blindly ? If I read your post right it confirms it !!!!

Where does it say they expected it for free?

The same place sisu are taking out 2 mil a year?

You need to apply a little common sense when you read the document (I can help if you want)
Whether the Sisu thinking was actually zero we will never know but they were hopeful of getting it for a lot less than Wasps got it and the expectation of getting the bank loan for as little as £2M in reality put the figure well down there in real terms.

Are you now denying that Sisu have taken upward of £2M in management fees ?

I have no reason to believe anything has changed.

"CCFC Holdings Ltd has a total income in the year to 31 May 2011 of £4,478,157 (2010, £4,432,954), which is a small increase on the previous year, with sponsorship, advertising, club shop & promotions contributing £1,791,315 (2010, £1,663,196) and charging management fees of £2,686,842 (2010, £2,769,758). Who these management fees are paid to is not disclosed."

So at no point does it say they wanted it for free

Your question about management fees would be better off directed at OSB. He has examined the accounts and stated that no management fees have been paid out. Weren't the management fees listed ways of moving money / debt around different parts of the company?

Ha ha bollocks. OSB has confirmed that management fees were the movement of funds between holdings and ltd.

Just to try clear a couple of things

The only management charges that are obvious from the accounts are the ones made by CCFC H to CCFC Ltd. In the last set of accounts published for CCFC H to 31/05/2011 the charge made was 2,686,842. The effect of this on the individual companies is as follows. In CCFC H it is shown as income and disclosed in note 2 to the accounts. In CCFC Ltd that management charge is included in the total for costs and expenses but not separately disclosed. In the SBS&L group as a whole the effect is nil because the entries in CCFC H and CCFC Ltd contra each other. There is no disclosure of any management charges in the SBS&L accounts.
