That's not really right. It would be more like us playing in Coventry in a stadium we owned / part owned from inception until 2002 then moving temporarily to Northampton as tennants, promising to return to Coventry. Then after 10 years renting moving to an empty Reebok in Bolton. Would that be OK?

If you are talking about CCFC fans, then I think you are mistaken.
Judging by the amount of posts on the Ricoh/New Stadium/Potential Stadium on the main forum, I would beg to differ and say the majority do care who owns the stadium, and that many of those want a stadium with the Club so SISU can sell it get there money back, and move on, which is what we all want isnt it?

I do find it interesting how many people have decided so quickly that Wasps are here to stay.
It's the same mindset that had SISU down as excellent owners, with good business sense after they'd been here six months.
Now... as you rightly point out, Wasps *might* be here to stay but... so far who knows! It's certainly true that their stated *intention* is to stay, but then their stated intention was to stay in London/return to London/stay in Wycombe/return to London so the rhetoric is probably as best discounted as anything our owners come up with.
As for actions? Well, they have bought a ground, but they've also heavily loaded it with debt. The results of their attempts to pay that off will determine their immediate future, although who knows if even once that debt is paid off whether they stay, or just flog their community asset to move elsewhere for a similar strategy. Windsor Park might fancy some big name top flight teams after a refurb...
It's too early to decide one way or another whether the great franchise experiment has worked or not.

I personally see it all ending in tears for Wasps, and I will be honest enough to say I would be more than happy with that, which I am sure people know from my posts.
I dont want them to go out of buisness, just look for something a little more suited to their needs in London eg) 10k max stadium.
I feel that there current experiment isnt quite panning out as they thought it would, and the constant promotions and freebies just isnt creating a new or loyal future ban base.

I don't want them to succeed either - the precedent it would set for other sporting teams to do the same would be particularly destrictive and catastrophic.
However... we don't *know* whether they will or not, and often the rhetoric is they're here to stay. Why? They're only here to stay if they succeed financially (and even then possibly not, if it's more viable to flog a successful community asset in the stadium and move elsewhere, banking the difference!) and as of yet it's pointless deciding they are going to be successful.
All I will say is previous efforts (MK Dons apart, and is that 'success' on anything but the broadest terms? They almost went bust soon after moving, too) of clubs being used to fill already exisiting grounds tend not to go overly well.

Although I agree with wanting to see them fail I just can't see it. Wasps home match ticket sales isn't the only source of revenue at the Ricoh. The truth is that it is possibly the only true 365day a year sports stadium in the country. Yes ticket revenue will be welcome I'm sure but they have plenty of other revenue streams to be capitalized on to make it successful. I can't help but feel anyone who thinks it's all about bums on seats at wasps home games are setting themselves up to be disappointed.
But I guess none of us will really know until accounts for the whole group are filled that covers a full 12 month period since Wasps have arrived where they're also liable to make interest payments on the bonds, also until that happens we'll also have no idea if the prospect of paying the bonds back at the end of the term is viable. Even then there are alternatives to paying back the bonds. So you'll forgive me if I don't start creaming myself just yet, I want to see how things are officially panning out first.

Despite the fact Fisher, and Wasps for that matter, are always banging on about revenues what you've got is a rugby club who have been losing millions for years, and have taken on tens of millions of additional debt, and a stadium company who have been struggling and also losing money.
I don't see how putting the two together automatically leads to a bright successful future for both.

If you count selling a ticket from a room at a stadium as 365 day income then every stadium is 365 days a year.
You know what he means by 365 days at the Ricoh you just struggle again with the obvious detail.

It doesn't have to have a Hotel, Casino and Exhibition all to make money every day does it? Other stadiums have hotels for example. Other stadiums have functions and exhibitions.

Without checking others, don't Blackpool have a hotel, gym, restaurant and conference centre? I'd class that as 365 revenue. I think Upton Park has a hotel too and conference centre as well.

Like I said, if you're unaware (which apparently you are) what other revenue is at the Ricoh that's down to you, you should try getting up there and having a look around. It's quite impressive how much is there and what it has to offer.
