The story broke at around 10am this morning and has taken nearly 7 hours to get clarified.

I smell BS.

The pics of what was going in on the CWR page were right before the stuff went in. If you watch the video you see them sealing the capsule and then burying it.

Now, 24 hours after CWR's initial post and the complaints starting and a full day since they were asked for comment and the CT ran the story we get told there was a program from months ago when we lost to a lower division side but that it had been missed of the list of contents and all the photos. Also hadn't been seen by any of the local media that were at the event where the contents were sealed into the capsule.

Lets face it, the thing is buried now so they could say anything was in it.

If you ask me some posters on here have been so crying out for a story like this because they don't like the poll results for the Wasps sub forum they didn't stop to think if this could be a mistake and took over this thread without being interested in what actually might be the case to try and prove a point. I still haven't had chance to read every post but some of them are nothing short of pathetic attempts to start/maintain a Wasps shouting match.

I don't want my club remembered for anything to do with the Northampton debarcle, aside the fact the fans stayed away making it an unviable idea. Also the thousands who marched in protest.
A picture of the March or a simple sky blue badge should have been in there.

Last time I heard about one of them was on blue Peter 30 years ago.
Let's just hope to God when they dig it up they will be amazed at how low we fell compared to where we will be then.

While you acknowledged that it wasn't acceptable not to include ccfc or crfc, it is hardly an excuse to start a 'shouting match'.

Ccfc fans have been very passive throughout the while saga, IMO.

Well. That's where we disagree and I'll tell you why.

For me as a CCFC fan the story (although untrue it seems in the end) was that CCFC wasn't included. On page one (some 8 long hours ago) it becomes evident very quickly that for some "CCFC fans" that isn't the story. Even some 6 long hours ago it's suggested that actually something CCFC related is actually in there (FP I believe) which is then quickly glossed over by some who clearly don't see CCFC being excluded as the story before carrying on with more drivel about Wasps inevitably pulling Italia into the mix to keep the fire's burning. Then all of a sudden things start calming down (presumably as more news starts bubbling through the knitting circle that actually something CCFC is included) and then I put a link up and with the exception of Nick everyone seems to have been called in for their tea by their mums.

At which point I (yes me) point out that actually the real shame is that nothing JH related went in (which really should have been the first thing on the list all things considered). Then all of a sudden a few people are starting to appear again (presumably they ate all their greens and have been allowed out to play again) but not with the obvious point about JH but claims like "it's buried now, they can say anything is in there that they want".

I think a section of our fan base has forgotten that they're CCFC fan's first and lost focus of the important things in life. Like remembering one of the most important people in the history of the club.

I think if they gave you permission to radar scan the ground it's buried underneath to prove that the ground hasn't been disturbed since the capsule was buried and then you personally dug it up by hand under the supervision of independent adjudicators, you confirmed that the seal had never been broken and you then personally opened it up to find exactly what we have been told is in there in there you still wouldn't believe it was originally in there.

It's off topic (but probably more interesting than the outbreak of bickering ) but as someone who has no clue about this, fancy going into the other sports bit to fill me in?

We went on the Croke Park tour during Ireland away in June. Amazing place. Absolutely massive. Around 80% of the English club crests on the wall are from here or London. Must say too that the way how the organisation is set up English Football could learn a lot. Some great ideas.
