And we won't find out for 50 years whether it's true or not. Brilliant really.

See you there Torch.

We went on the Croke Park tour during Ireland away in June. Amazing place. Absolutely massive. Around 80% of the English club crests on the wall are from here or London. Must say too that the way how the organisation is set up English Football could learn a lot. Some great ideas.

Never been but seen it plenty on TV when visiting family in Ireland. Fermanagh always seem to have a game on there when I'm over. Come on the boys in white and green.

It was sarcasm to point out the fact they would not have missed it out intentionally. As rightly so SISU would give a shit.
So this conspiracy stuff is bollox.
Dong.
my post isn't really a direct response to yours. Of course Sisu wouldn't give a shite, why would they.
if nothing went in,or a program went in that's a disgrace .our club has represented this City far more than any other sporting club.it has also bought more people together than any other entity sporting or otherwise.IMHO

The GAA is outstanding and light years ahead of anything here.

Also, Gaelic football is a great game to play...used to play it for Rovigo in Italy. It's a shame it's not more popular over here.

I think you would be hard pushed to stoop to a lower fact to try to support Wasps, when you know full well it on the land they lease.

It was a story in the CET yesterday where all the memorabilia was being removed to paint the railings.
It's a positive ACL action that should be noted but ignored on here.

Time for you to start a thread saying how proud you are of ACL and the Council isn't it?

Could have been worse than Northampton - could have had a picture of Thorns ugly mug - then again you'd be digging it up then I suppose

Ha ha

Clearly Its starting to dawn on you how silly you look over this one

It is an action that ACL should have been doing since they had the ground. It is a non story.

Don't think so - think everyone wants these wankers out of the city.

You want wasps gone surely?

When we were there, there were two U14 Hurling teams from Cork playing an every day normal league game. The equivalent of two Sunday junior sides from Carlisle playing at Wembley. Didn't cost them a penny to play either.

You take it wrong. Don't do a Grendull, look at my first post on this thread if you want to know what I actually thought.

If you ask me some posters on here have been so crying out for a story like this because they don't like the poll results for the Wasps sub forum they didn't stop to think if this could be a mistake and took over this thread without being interested in what actually might be the case to try and prove a point. I still haven't had chance to read every post but some of them are nothing short of pathetic attempts to start/maintain a Wasps shouting match.

If I took it wrong, fair enough and apologies, as I didnt see your first post. I am an old reactionary sometimes ;)

It's ok. I've set a reminder in Outlook Dave. I'll get a pop up on 29th Jan 2066 so we can check then.

No biggy.

I agree that to tidy it up and paint it, is a positive action by ACL, but surely thats their repsonsibility as leaseholder.

Well it demonstrates one thing to me.
The worst aspect of Fishers policy and tenancy of the hotseat
Fall all the faults of the arrangements in place and wrongs of how we got there, he has created a chasm which still remains between the Clubs very own support.
Gut renchingly sad IMO.
None I repeat none of the subsequent events nor contracts struck from his risking this clubs existence have been or were worth it
.
I find that the most heartbreaking element of the outfall of his leadership.
He should get his fat arse out of town and I can't believe we haven't driven him out.

We tried my old friend we tried

Surely it's just something they should do as a matter of course. It seems the reality is they haven't bothered maintaining it and have only bothered now when it got to the point that the SBT were going to step in and do it.

Must have missed that.
Anyway .... well done Wasps :claping hands:

Well done for what? Maintaining the land they lease? Do people clap you if you fix a leaking stable or just sort of expect it because they pay you livery?

Very strange.

If it is such a big plus, you should maybe be questioning why ACL haven't done it before ;)

I would have thought that the club would have taken that responsibility. In fact correct me if I'm wrong weren't they responsible for it before?

I didn't want Wasps here in the first place.
That ground should be CCFC's. I struggle to forgive our owners for the manner in which the negotiations were handled.
They created the opportunity for Wasps.
I can see why Wasps did what they did. So I hold no animosity towards them.
I wish they were not here certainly.
I can also see why the council did what they did.
I can see what our owners were trying to do, however the devastation that action has taken on our club is what I struggle to deal with. Far more than wasps been there or the CET and the council promoting Wasps.

The Trust had already contacted ACL about an offer to raise funds to tidy up the gardens.
It was also discussed at the SCG last week of our intentions, but glad they have agreed to sort it out.

I think the club were responsible for it before, but not sure now, there are that many parties involved.

I would think its the responsibility now of the land leaseholder which is Wasps/ACL, so its postive they are tidying it up, but its just part of the lease which they should be doing anyway. Only at the SISU/CCC/ACL/WASPS clusterf*ck could this be an issue.

The club were never responsible for it,as the few times I have been involved in arranging plaques for friends who's ashes are there ,it was a lady who I believe was a community contact at ACL , so really glad this is being sorted, as it is a real mess. I will inspect it when it's done and if not up to a good standard I will get the Trust to have a push to get it improved
