Actually from a business point of view as a trial it's an idiotic decision,

Strikes me as odd. They were worried about safety and congestion so they've picked the games with the biggest crowd

Surely you would start with a low key game to make sure everything went OK.

They were worried about fans trying to cram onto a 75 seater train.

Yep. Bang on. Greed before customer care.

Free bus, free trains, free tickets, free entertainment and we still get more people in on average.

Seems the Wasps propaganda machine isn't quite as slick as they make out... despite the best efforts of the CET.

We can be fairly certain that the 2 games picked will attract bigger crowds than we can expect, with the exception of a playoff game.
So from a business point of view it is a good decision.
The Leicester match probably as tigers will bring 12-15k.

The harlequins match, really? Judging by the drop this season and looking at the attendance for last seasons match I'd expect 8,000 plus a few thousand freebies.

Actually the stated concern was the waiting area. Do you think it will be one train holding 1000 or a shuttle train holding 150? Crowd congestion is still a potential issue. You should always test these things with smaller crowds.

Hence why when things open there are test events and the like before the full capacity can be used.

Unless of course you need a lot of people to test it

Whats the point of testing empty trains ?

All I will say on the subject is I detest Wasps and their propaganda machine to the pit of my stomach.
i will drink the town of Diss dry if ,or more likely when, this drastic & arrogant move they have made finally goes pop

Don't forget free beer if you take the train.

With the pre match and after match activities the coming and going is spread over a longer period of time.
Slightly different to block 17 trying to get back to Earlsdon before McDonalds closes ;)

There isn't a McDonalds in Earlsdon.

Most McDonalds don't close.

At least be correct when trying to put down our fans to make Wasps fans up, nearly as bad as the telegraph.

Its basic event management. You should never attempt to run at capacity the first time round. You run at 50 - 70% capacity, sometimes only one test event is run sometimes more. Why do you think there weren't 30K plus at our first game at the Ricoh?

.... and the more research up front the less testing you need.
I would suggest the trains will be half empty on the first event.

I have repeatedly stated this.

The council in an interview admitted electrification is highly unlikely to happen, diesel stock was always the likely only available action and the real prevention is cost and, for sustained use, platform availability.

Agree

He said: “We have had no discussions with Coventry City FC at this stage, but no disrespect to the football club, Wasps are attracting bigger crowds at the moment and they own the ground, so it’s sensible to run the trial with the biggest numbers we can.”

Why is he telling lies? Did the council write that for him?

Jesus......
Council control LM, Wasps and the CET

It sounds like the sort of throw away crap you'd get from a John Mutton. I have no idea why he would say that. The whole statement is patronising in the extreme from a 'PR expert'.

London Midland c##ts
Never using their trains again!!!

This conspiracy is growing by the day
Time capsules, the Guardian, the CET, the council, MP's and now a train operator
Where will this stop?

I don't know, but you coming on and replying to every post in a weird posting style isn't helping.

Very much an agenda this evening.

You just throwing a few more people into your post to make it look better, like MP's the Gaurdian etc.

Change the record, you just keep posting the same thing constantly to try prove your point. We get it, but it doesnt mean people agree.

Where will it stop? ...I wish you would.

The more people keep getting thrown in the pot by others such as LM yesterday.
It's easy to make your point when such paranoid conspiracy theorists keep making theirs first.....

Nobody said there was a conspiracy with LM, just he was having a dig. Which if you read it, it clearly was...

Maybe if you were as passionate about the football team as you are about councils and stadium management companies you might be able to see it.

Dodging the question I see, something which you seem so enamoured to point out to other posters when they do it. So when were MP's and the Guardian mentioned?

Its easy to make your point when you elaborate it to suit your arguement.

Its a strange thing for someone from a train operator to say. Someone must have fed him the stats.

Why not just say we are trialling this with Wasps as they are funding it.

Yawn

Yes not passionate about the team
Work for the council. Blah blah blah
Same old blah everytime your bias is exposed....

So someone suggesting the council wrote what LM said
Someone else pointing towards the CET manipulating stats to make Wasps look good and CCFC look bad
Is just standard regular comments is it?

Answers the question head on actually.
Just added the LM to the list to highlight how ridiculous the paranoia is getting.

You saying yawn....oh the irony.

You and Nick, just agree to disgaree, its so boring.

(and you dont mention the football much, dissapeared off the site when we were doing well, and now are back when we are on a bad run. Not a conspiracy just a coincidence)

Yes I sit and wait and post depending on performances we can stick that ion top of the paranoid list aswell.
If you are genuinely monitoring my football related posts.
How often do I post on there?
When did I post in their last?

Sorry Moff that is bollox that is thrown out to distract.
We were on very good form when my login worked again, hey ho don't let that get in the way of a good story.

First of all I said it was a coincidence, sceondly I have more important things in life than monitor some of the dross you peddle, and thirdly I just noticed the site wasnt being clogged up with your multi posts for a while, so that is how I know you werent on it for a period of time. It was like a breath of fresh air. :D

To be honest I couldnt give a shit, the site just flows a lot better when you arent in keyboard warrior mode. You raise valid points, just not when you go multiposting constantly.

Oh and what the fuck does this mean? Sorry Moth that u bollox that is thrown out to distract.

It's get boring answering the same question over and over because someone can't or doesn't read your answer.
LM was mentioned in the thread as getting their statement written by the council.
So this was a new one to add to the list of ridiculous conspiracies. Guardian, MPs, council, cet, development companies burying time capsules. Now a train company

Can you ask me this question again please in 5 minutes.....

You are very defensive of them though, especially the way you go through and reply to every post individually to prove it...
