So this was a new one to add to the list of ridiculous conspiracies. Guardian, MPs, council, cet, development companies burying time capsules. Now a train company

I would have thought BA would push for an independent investigation - after all he was very loud when he called for openness during the clubs administration.

Might be easier for us to pay for the same privilege to LM if we had access to all the money we generate, but that is another kettle of fish. Our crowds are comparable to Wasps and the demand would be high.

But this station should have been open and functioning from the moment the ground opened for business in 2005.

London Midland has also said there will be no expansion to the hourly service on matchdays.

That statement doesn't apply to extra chartered trains for special events, like these 2 events.

Right, but the jist of the statement at the time was that a matchday service was deemed uneconomical because they didn't have the rolling stock. Now for certain matchdays they have changed their position and means they must have found additional stock.

There was another article later where LM said they would need to charter to provide the extra capacity. The cost of the charter meant a return from Cov - Ricoh would be £17.

The impression I got in the first instance was that there weren't enough trains available full stop. What grinds me a bit about the LM statement is that they claim to have 'listened to fans and stakeholders' wanting a service but then disregard the football club which is drawing similar numbers.

Its pretty obvious Wasps are paying for this. Why they are trying to make it seem like they aren't is very strange. If both Wasps and LM had just come out and said it at worst there would have been complaints SISU weren't doing the same.

Special trains are nothing new and since Wasps are all about freebies I am surprised they didn't conceive the idea sooner. We don't know the money involved either but it doesn't help that our available resources are quite small in comparison. Also hindered by being denied full access to the money we generate on a matchday.

Suppose you could argue it's a sensible position for CCFC, why risk the investment in trialing a service when somebody else will do it for you.

This implies that Wasps are hoping to attract brand new fans with the service rather than change the habits of existing fans.

1000 extra train seats costing Wasps a train subsidy of about £15 each? Gamble of hoping to gain that back on new fans travelling and becoming regular visitors.

Well CCFC could do a simple straw poll of fans to get an idea of the interest, but a good number would come over from Nuneaton and the south/central part of the city I imagine. Granted there is no way of knowing without actually giving it a try.
