Sure it is....

You'd never actually say Cole is shit, you suggest the possibility and watch others take the next step.

Then volley the dolly home by requesting the link to the (Cole is shit) post that doesn't exist.

I don't say he's shit as that's the Neanderthal reasoning from the intellectually bereft. Instead I demonstrate why I so not think he is the new messiah in an articulate way.

So you are saying anyone who has negative things to say about Cole is a troll?

That's funny coming from you.
I think he is saying anything you say is trolling, not specific with cole he is just one of your many pet hates.

Not necessarily wrong, just your m.o. (modus operandi for the 'intellectually bereft').

Only you don't. You use headlines like "the Cole experiment has failed" and then never commit to why. You just line ducks up for others to knock over.

You're also extremely ignorant to the other issues that the team has had such as defensive injuries. Just notice that the dip in form started when Cole arrived also around the same time the injuries started to bite, ignore the latter, put two and two together and came up with eleventy billion.

You're clearly just someone who needs a villain in there life to boo, rather than watching football have you thought about watching pantomimes instead. I guarantee that you'll never be disappointed again and everyone will agree with you.

What defensive injuries are you actually talking about?

First lets hear your reasoning to cole affecting our results and feel free to use all your stat bank to prove it.

Tony will not accept that as he will not dodge a question - so Tony what injuries hampered results prior to his arrival?

As for you given your embarrassing defence of the hapless Haynes and Bigiamanara where I have proven you totally wrong - I would have thought you'd have gone away by now?

Just wonder how we have won any games with such a shit squad?
Do you actually like any City players?

How are you going to win the argument by avoiding the questions?

Several - I like RCC - you think he is shit and should be dropped - your mate Steve Brown has an almost pathological hatred of MAF.

Mean helped you out of a hole. Johnson never impacted results at all when he was injured did he?

Dodging the question. You may like to know that Reda hasn't been our only injury in defense. Johnson also hasn't come back from injury so to suggest that his absence hasn't impacted results is idiotic especially as we acted quickly to replace him. What happened to his replacement? I'll help you out. He went back to his club after (you'll like this bit) getting injured. Also it's odd that you use Reda as a point of "proving" that one player doesn't influence team performance but when it comes to Cole the opposite applies.

Here's how I see it. We're a team that builds from the back, when our defensive injury woes started hitting home (the ones you're blissfully unaware of) it impacted our performances two fold, one not only were we looking dodgy at the back and likely to concede we also lost our starting point for attack, secondly our midfield then get's dragged into defensive duties (not always effectively) stifling our attack even more. You've obviously failed to notice but these issues seem to have been addressed with the two latest loan signings and three things have happened over the last couple of games. One, RCC is very much improved and now looks better than he has at any point during the season. Two, our defense are looking rock solid again both defensively and building attacks. Three, this has allowed our midfield to stop filling in gaps in defense and carry on what's been built from defense and lead the attack. This has happily coincided with what looks like JC returning to something near full match fitness (yes it took him a while but then he's not 18 anymore so that's only to be expected) telling not only from the fact that he played a full 90 minutes for the first time since his arrival but also played everyone else pretty much of the park.

Now you tell us why JC is shit and it's all his fault?

I have not avoided a question. I believe Tony was talking tripe as defensive injuries have not impacted results at the time he was referring to and I am waiting for who he meant. Thanks for contributing though.

You were asked how Joe Cole has affected results. Your response was "Tony will not accept that...". Just admit you're wrong.

Surely it's hard to argue about any one player affecting results.

Against Sheff Utd one silly mistake by RCC cost us at least a point.

Against Donny, the mix up between Fleck and RCC might well have cost us 2 points! Phillips against Burton too.

Sometimes it is one silly little mistake in a game and not because a player was missing.

We were unbeaten in the league without Johnson and before Turner, your petulance is boring. I am not saying any of it is his fault I am not just dewy eyed about his presence here and until last weekend found the whole thing underwhelming. He was 33 when he signed - Wise was far older and had far more impact. Perhaps you didn't make it to your usual 6 games a year at the latter end of that season to witness it.

Before this goes any further, can I suggest we have a Grendel/Tony sub forum.

So its not about actual playing stats its about comparisons dependant on age?

Can't we just put them in a padded room with wet kippers and let them beat each other to death?

Exactly, individual errors. Can Grendull even tell us what individual errors JC has made.

The other thing Grendull fails to explain is why we weren't better before JC either came on or went off, he's only just played his first 90 minutes after all. Plus presumably we won all the games JC missed altogether.

Still dodging the question.

I've given my opinions on why our form dipped and why it coincided with our defensive woes. If you don't agree with me fair enough but all you've done is what you always do and tell me why I'm wrong. What you haven't done is what you never do, tell us why you're right.

I suppose if all you ever do is tell everyone else they're wrong you'll never be wrong yourself.
