I don't see the point in sacking another manager then starting again while we have a settled squad....wait a minute
Just playing Devil's advocate here and not saying I want to see TM sacked, but just wondering if we brought someone in now would we have a better chance of a top 6 place?
We are on a downward spiral and it is now just 3 wins in 15 games.
New manager syndrome? Is that a possible option?
Just putting it out there.
This is short term though. Only needs a short term solution to secure a play-off place.
A lot changed after May Dong and TM got a lor of financial support but thanks for conceding that it is fair enough
that I do know better anyway.
Do you also dispute someones comment earlier that we have a higher playing budget than Walsall, Gillingham & Burton too?
New manager syndrome. Been proven that it can give a club an initial good run of form. No, what would it achieve?
most worrying for me is the lack of passion and the lethargy from the players. We dont look like a team fighting to give the supporters their first taste of excitement in many of their ccfc supporting lives!!
Yes twice with Middlesbrough top at Xmas then failed to reach the playoffs.
Like he gives up when the pressure is on.
We've also heard the other classic "He's lost the dressing room".Why do people keep repeating this falsehood?

Yes, it's a shite run, yes it's happened to Mowbray before, but perversely I'm actually reassured by that. Yes we might miss out on the playoffs after being in very good position. However, to even consider sacking TM with us 6th in the table is insane.
Oh and there's no such thing as a 'new manager bounce'. Bit like 'you're most susceptible to concede straight after scoring'; it's a myth.
Not so sure. Would like to see the stats. Why do people keep repeating this falsehood?

If he was as good as people thought, he wouldn't be manager of Coventry City.
Top or in the play-offs, it's still a terrible run. 4th at Christmas in 2012 and the ended up finishing way down the league in 16thWhy do people keep repeating this falsehood?

We had 10 points deducted didnt we? Where would we have finished if they weren't deducted?Top or in the play-offs, it's still a terrible run. 4th at Christmas in 2012 and the ended up finishing way down the league in 16th

It makes perfect sense when you think about it. As with any job, a new boss comes in, you set out to impress them. They usually come with a fresh attitude and a fresh load of ideas.
Would love to see the stats to say how often it works. Let's not get confused however with the likes of Burton and Walsall, where managers have walked. Talking only in terms of managers being sacked and a new man coming in.
This is short term though. Only needs a short term solution to secure a play-off place.
That's Middlesborough's stats, not ours. Quoting from when Middlesborough blew it twice. We had 10 points deducted didnt we? Where would we have finished if they weren't deducted?

I'm happy with Mowbray too, but if we drop out of the top 6 this season, that will be the third time as manager that has happened to him.it could well change our fortunes but right now im happy for mowbray to continue. the squad may not have attributed for different style of football, we have no real plan b.
continually trying to get plan A working again may be our best chance. roll on saturday
For some reason I get the feeling some of you think I what Mowbray sacked. I don't. I want him to rectify this worrying pattern of failure after being in a strong position.
He should use the memory and experience of those two Middlesborough failures to correct the mistakes this time.
To be frozen out and loaned (own decision or not) is extremely strange.

You have to ask yourself, what is going wrong?
If we had our best players sold from under us in January, then yep, could understand, but we strengthened didn't we? Didn't lose anyone.
I can't imagine a professional sportsman who is playing week in week out in a team chasing promotion wanting to leave. Something has gone on so the question is do we believe Mowbray that he was a disruptive influence.
to my mind mowbray has to be brave now we are at this crucial point in the season. He seems to have his favourites but they are just not cutting it at the moment. He is forever chopping and changing especially with the likes of cole.
We need a settled strong side with a bit of bite to get us into the play offs.
Cole needs leaving out unless he can play every week , hunt shouldnt be near the squad and ricketts needs a rest.
Saturday I would like to see
RCC
STOKES
MARTIN
STEPHENS
LORENTZEN
ROSE
VINCELOT
MADDISON
FLECK
HENDERSON
ARMSTRONG
Lameiras has constantly flattered to receive though. Last time he played well was Sheff Utd away wasn't it? The time before that I think was right at the start of the season.Agree, although I might be tempted to swap rose with lameiras. We need someone who can play through balls in to Armstrong and get crosses into henderson
So you are saying we will never have a good manager because we are Coventry City? You post some garbage at times.
