Best game we played Conor and gael will only get better!! Platt for me was immense!! We have t Got a bad side, not no self belief, and that's on and off the pitch!!! With Clarke nearly bk as well we haven't got a bad set up, just need wins to boost the confidence! All ratings for me are a 7 part from Conor Platt and Keogh who get an 8!

Best left-back performance by a City player since we had Fox. Marcus never delivered a performance that good in his whole career! Gael was immense first half and Sammy only gets a 8 instead of a 9 because he failed to spot McSheffreys superb run in the first half. Christie would have been a 7 or even 8 for the first half, but was truly dreadful in the second-if unlucky for the 2nd goal. Possibly Keoghs best performance for us, and against the club he supports. Beckenbauer and Adams rolled into one. But he'll be off at Xmas :(

How can anyone rate any of our player less that a 7 today is beyond me. A couple of 6's for Thomas? Your having a laugh, he played really well today.

Agreed, it was a quality cameo performance. Back to his dribbling best, and one deflected ball near the end almost fell for him in the same position as the Derby goal. I often think he's most effective as an impact sub.

He did some really good things-some great passes and a great tackle- but gave the ball away a fair few times as well. He also fails to attack the space in front of him or make forward runs off the ball. He didn't help Cyrus enough 2nd half or close down the WH LB, who had all the time in the world to hoof it up to Cole 2nd half.

Thought he waas more effective than Bgi todayNLHWC ,felt bigi suffered from the lack of physical presence today ,he must become more creative than the simple sideways.must remember including Cyrus thy're all boys.

How many times did bigi give the ball away? Thomas worked his nuts off, kept the ball ticking over, put in lots of challenges and covered in at right back every time Christies went forward. He also started to make a few forward runs in the last 20 mins.

Again what did bigi do that Thomas didn't? I get the feeling fans don't understand what Thomas brings to the team but are blinded by Bigi's flamboyance.

Beg to differ on this one; Gael was superb, closing down at pace all over the pitch, played some fantastic passes, movement was immense and speed of thought fantastic. Yes he got tacled a few times when trying to work some magic in tight situations, he faded a bit 2nd half (1st game in weeks so that's inevitable), and he has probably yet to win a header in his career. But the good things that he did were so good, that massively outweighs those minor blemishes. Not quite as good as he was 1st half against Burnley, but he is now looking like a future top 4 Prem club player in the making to my eyes, and against the 2nd best side in the Championship, not just Nuneaton or Leam!

About 4? Mostly by taking too long when he had the ball to make a decision, and he isn't great at tracking the man in his own half. I don't think he plays the role as well as Gael, I'm not an obsessive Gael fan-boy..and hang on, I gave Connor a 7! He did some good stuff, I wasn't having a go!

I think gael has better ball control and has more skill on the ball, thomas has more physical presents, but I think other than that the passing and speed are both similar.

Sorry nonleague wasn't getting at you, it was the one's that gave him a 6's.

i thought thomas played well, hes a bit like carrick, keeps midfield ticking over,he grew into the game strength wise too

i only gave him a 6 because he wasnt quite as good as brigi today, call it a 7 if you want, either way i thought we played very well

Keogh was Mr Reliable as always
Clingan much better than recent weeks
Thomas' best game in a Cov shirt
Hussey much improved
The Juke seemed a bit quite today but did his bit.

I agree, I've said on a previous post a couple of weeks ago that Thomas is the ying to bigi's flamboyant yang. They are both top top prospects and IMO are rightly in the starting line up on their performances.

I just sometimes feel that people expect Thomas to be more like bigi but he's a different type of player.

I would have expected a tad more hyperbole after Hussey's showing today. He was absolute mint; if he didn't have an option to pass to, he skinned Faubert-a 7.5m signing I believe-every single time, and rained in some fantastic crosses. He also defended really well. It was pretty much the complete performance for a full back.

Murphy -7- claimed some crosses well, good distribution and couldn't do much for the goal
Christie-6- crossing was generally poor but did well in the build up to the goal
Keogh-8- fantastic
Cranie-6- did ok in his first game back, thought he struggled with the physical style of West Ham at times.
Hussey-7- played well and made some great surging runs down the line
Clingan-8- generally controlled the game against a premiership midfield with Gael and Thomas
Gael-8- Same as Clingan, seemed at times the only player trying to thread through ball to the strikers
Thomas-7-good game, not as quite as good as Gael or Sammy
Sheff-6-not bad, made some good runs beyond the strikers. Would have got a 7 but 2 or 3 times he tried a speculative shot from 30 yards when there were far better options
Platt-8- fantastic goal and led the line well.
Juke-7- Worked hard but never got any breaks today

Baker-7-some good dribbling and showed signs of a good understanding with Gael.
Wood-?-no comment

All in all I think it was the best performance of the season and we certainly didn't deserve to lose. West Ham only started getting chances when the game got stretched, before the equaliser we just needed to keep a good spell of possession and take the sting out of West Ham. Midfield 3 containing 2 teens dominated a premiership midfield and Gael and Thomas can be very proud of there performance tonight. Defence looked to struggle with West Ham's physicality and in particular Cole. I think Baker is worth a start ahead of Mcsheff on Tuesday behind the strikers.
I think Platt is the best like for like replacement for King we have at the moment, both of them play centrally and don't drift to the wings, have ok ball control and a good awareness of players around them and good anticiapation.
If we can keep up that standard of performance we will not be relegated imo.

I thought it was pretty good-he hit the edge of the 6 yard box constantly, it's just that the two huge WH defenders headed them clear above our attackers. Any one could have led to a goal.

I thought Connor Thomas gave a great performance today. Considering the midfield he was up against he gave a stand-out performance. By contrast Bigi was not great and flagged badly in the second half. Keogh was outstanding and Platt looked better than Juke who struggled against their centre-half.

Now we have two tall powerful strikers in the box, using the full backs/wingers to whip balls in is the easiest way to get goals, I liked the way west ham drove into the box before crossing, hussey tried a lot of that today unlucky not to get a equaliser.

So we can't be proud of a very good performance against a team packed full of premier league players?

If we can keep up that standard of performance we won't keep losing, sooner or later results reflect performances. In the short term we may want to play rubbish but win but that is not a long term solution as Boothroyd showed last year.
If performances are CONSISTENTLY good the results will follow.

Platt gave the ball away 3 times 2nd half with hospital passes. He was good first half but faded, possibly due to lack of fitness. But I don't really think Cody would have offered much more..maybe it was worth chucking him on for Platt for the last 10. I'm not sure where the negativity on Juke has come from, I thought he battled superbly and was unlucky with his stinging shot.
