We should have offered him double what the PL club offered. #nopm

Sisu won't invest and increase the debt. The same debt which is the reason we're stuck with them. Still shhmee said if you invest you're more likely to get promoted. Not guaranteed but hey let's carry on gambling and increasing that debt.

Football fans are pretty selfish; they expect someone to come along ad pump millions into a club and then silently walk away when the money has gone before letting someone else do the same.

Its wrong and shouldn't be allowed, we'll probably get peanuts for him under EPPP.

It will also more likely hinder his career, although any PL team will send him out on loan, we'd look after him much better here and he'll get game time next season. He should look at Wilson and maddison progression over the last 2-3 seasons.

He is probably a bit stuck stay here earn less get more playing time and develop more quickly and get sold fairly quickly or move to a bigger club play in the under 21's and get loaned out and get paid a big wedge, the risk he has may not develop and make the bigger move or maybe get injured.

I guess the sixth one is Sambou.

You can't blame the player for taking an offer of more money. That's why the rules need changing.

In an ideal world I'd get rid of agents, have all transferred handled by someone like the PFA. Agents aren't thinking about the players best interests or their development, they're thinking of their %.

Players have brains and if their agent is looking out for himself they should be able to see that

Probably doesn't help seeing Maddison swaning around in his new car though, players have brains but he is young I imagine he has very little life experience like we have.

Remember our chat over PM the other day mate ;)

James Maddison has deleted a social media message - after sparking a backlash from Coventry City fans.
The 19-year-old - who joined Norwich City on the final day of the January transfer window before being loaned back to the Sky Blues - shared a link to a picture on his Instagram profile on Twitter, with the caption "a lion doesn't concern itself with the opinion of sheep".

Prem clubs can afford not just the wages but the risk of the loss. At this early age its still a big gamble & the reality is that Div 1 clubs can't afford the money or the risk. Can't blame a young lad for wanting the best on offer.

It's all sisu and Mowbrays fault. Don't happen to Leicester or other teams.

Could you expand on that please?

Why would it be Mowbrays fault? Why would it be SISU's fault? The lad can sign for who he wishes, hes not a professional footballer as no professional contract has been signed? this day and age money talks in football especially with agents who are only interested in making a quick buck for themselves and not entirely interested in what will happen to the player.

Why mention Leicester? over £100m pumped into them...

Dont happen to other teams..... errr yes it does.

I believe a lot of the problems in club have come about because of Agents unsettling players and in Maddisons case there is probably a lot of jelousy from the other players as well.

Surely every club sells players? Players will be used to their team mates being sold / bought etc?

Yep confirmed by CT he's rejected a deal.
FFS - part of me thinks why the hell didn't we give him a go while we where playing over the hill strikers in the first team who can't score for toffee. So I can sort of understand his motives.

But the other part of me thinks jog on. Take a pay rise and waste your career.

His advisors have made a mistake. 30 games in our first team would have been better for him and the club which had supported him since he was 11. Wilson and Maddison at least got us some cash.

They should make him a final offer and then after that he is finished don't play him in any games at any level and I would consider stopping him going to training.

Think Mowbray makes a good point. Was scoring for fun in the U18s but not so much in the U21s so why would he move straight into the first team. Also says he's been told he'd be likely to get a pre-season with the first team next year and if he impressed would stay in the squad.

Some of those things Mowbray has said there should have been spoken directly to Sambou and not the press. If I was Sambou that would wind me up no end and want to go elsewhere.

Don't see anything wrong with what has been said. Highly doubt its anything that hasn't been said to him before, probably why he's been mouthing off on twitter the last few months about young players being given a chance in the first team.

The rules are so wrong here. The system is setup so basically any club that wants him can have him for under £200K. They will no doubt make that back on loan fees. And when you take a loan you have to pay for his ongoing development costs.

He'll end up in league 2 in a few years.

Stupid move.
