we do not need any fans like this guy or anyone who condones this. Sorry if we had thousands of fans like this i would not support the team unless they did something about it but this is one of the minority who do not belong in football nowadays, its not 'grassing' its just not condoning that awful language.

Did you seriously mean that as a threat? You need to get out of the house more

I did not mean anything as a threat, but if you insult any of my family, especially any of my kids, then you would get what is due to you. I am not a cyber bully. I am not even a bully. I do detest racists though. I also detest bullies. The vast majority of them look for easy targets, but are mainly little boys wanting to look big and act "hard" Most racists are idiots that would not dare say their comments when their mates are not about and where they could get what they deserve.

I've never once said they wern't. I'm not racist and I don't condone it but I don't see why people think I am cause I wouldn't want to get a fellow Cov fan banned for using expressions that were used by the majority of football crowds 30+ years ago.

The thing is, this is not 30 years ago. It's here and now. I understand you're not condoning it. I see that. But as far as my opinion goes, it doesn't matter who it is. Sky Blue or not. If people use that kind of behaviour at a Football match, they should be banned.

I genuinely thought this racist attitude died out 30 years ago - it made me squirm with embarrassment when I heard and saw it then - it still does now.

Look at the long list of players that have played magnificently for CCFC over the years that have had to endure this abuse - I feel for each and everyone of them to have to put up with this mindless nonsense.

Totally and utterly uncalled for.

Try looking back at what you have said. I am a bully and need to get out of my house more often because if you make racist remarks at my daughter I will give you a lesson in politeness? Yes, I am more than capable of doing this, but have mellowed out over the years. Both fighting and racism are stupid and pathetic, but one deserves another. I welcome any racists to make their comments in front of friends of mine. I am just over 6' and 16 st, and am one of the smallest when we get together. I take people for what they are, not for the colour of their skin. You seem to be very alone on your views on here. Hopefully you had too much to drink when making these comments.

Peace if peace is wanted. Go and do one if it is not.

"I heard a couple of people near sayin they r gonna write and complain"

Write? Why not just tell the idiot to shut the f**k up?

Which a few of us would have done if we were near an idiot like that. Not everyone is the same though and I suppose it depends who you are at the game with. To me it should have been sorted at the time.

One of my best mates is black and he cringes at how too many people over-react to racism. Regardless of what you think every race has Racists. Black community, Asian community, white community etc... But it's always the whites who are called racists.

End of the day, there's good and bad in all races.

I've lived in Vietnam for 9 years where whiteys like me are definitely in the minority and, outside the big cities at least, are routinely pointed & stared at. We regularly get overcharged in markets & by taxi drivers, immigration/work permit regulations get tougher every year, and if we get into an accident or a fight with the locals & the police get involved, we have to pay up whether it's our fault or not.

Abuse is rare, violence virtually non-existent, but it's still a form of racism I guess. But we don't moan about it, and most black/Asian people in the UK are the same & are less sensitive to the issue than white liberals like me. I've been racially "abused" by Viets on a couple of occasions, but just laughed it off, flicked them the Vs & gave them a bit of grief back. They're the ones who look stupid & uneducated, not me.

Same with this clown at the Ricoh - he's the one making a c**t of himself in public. But disappointing that noone had a word with him.

I take my young kids to the home games and go with mates/family on the piss to away games.

I know when I take the kids to the home games there is a risk they may hear a few swear words but the're normally too busy pestering me for the toilet or another drink or something so how much they hear I don't know ! But if this arsehole was near us I would be gutted that as a father i've allowed my kids to witness this and I think I'd be shocked how to deal with it, I'm shocked all together - I hear a fair bit of harsh language at the away games and see a few punch-ups and scraps but I've never heard racism before.

I can't believe this guy actually got away with and no-one intervened and made him get lost ?

@change you face --- It's not about "grassing him up" , Someone should have gone to a steward and said "mate, there's a bloke over there saying a load of racist stuff and there's kids around"

And yes I agree with those that think he should be banned.

I don't want my kids near that kind of crap and I don't want to be stood in a bar with the sky blue army knowing there's people like that i'm drinking with.

This ain't a case of "grassing" up as you stupidly put it, its a case of showing this sort of behaviour is totally unacceptable

You don't speak for anyone but yourself so I don't where the "we" comes from. I don't agree with his comments but I wouldn't grass him up and cost him the chance of potentially getting banned from seeing the club that we both support.

Why isn't there a 'dislike' button?!

This thread is actually pretty encouraging. With one exception everyone on here has condemned racist language and behaviour and agreed that we don't want to be associated with any City fans who still look down on others because they're in any way different. That's the sort of mentality that leads to unprovoked assaults or spitting or swearing at women and kids because of their colour, it was the mentality that led to Nazi Germany, the bunch who bombed our city 71 years ago and who executed jews as 'sub humans'.

I was at matches 30 years ago when many people casually used racist language because they didn't know better. Now we do and this thread proves it. It makes me proud to be a member of this forum and a City fan whereas if the tone had been the other way I'd have been ashamed.

We want everyone at the Ricoh irrespective of colour, religion or anything else, supporting their team from their city and county and feeling welcome. We want to support every player. I suspect some of the racists don't. And why not, they should ask themselves. Why would you not support Bigi or Clive but support David Bell?

I really wish we'd sign a player called Derek. Then we'd have Derek & Clive :p
