Not good news

Mr Anderson also voiced disappointment over plans to remove the Sky Blues’ vital youth academy from the Alan Higgs Centre in Allard Way in June next year, into which Wasps is to move its training and academy facilities. He told us it now appears to be a done deal.

I think this is one of the things all fans can unite behind the the Trust should make a statement about this.

If CCFC are saying they are trying to sort it out but aren't being helped because Wasps are moving in?

They want to kill the football club to vindicate their decision. It's appalling. Something needs to be done. SISU can wait. If no one stops the council/wasps/higgs/CET in their mission. We won't have a football club, never mind SISU having one.

Something needs to be done or we'll end up back in Northampton or out of business completely. Surely now the fanbase will wake up and start to take some action.

So now I guess we wait for the telegraph reply to that story saying something the opposite like "When SISU stop calling the council names, then we will let the academy stay" or something where it is spun the other way.

I don't think anybody can disagree that it takes the piss.

Of course if the council hadn't decided to shut the existing sports centre, which I'm not convinced stacks up financially, there wouldn't be any need for a new pool at Higgs.

I wonder if things will emerge about the land deal with Wasps and Severn Trent also? the one that keeps being brushed under the carpet. No doubt it will be a Telegraph Exclusive.

Have not posted for while due mainly to the same old bollocks dished up by the usual bollock brains - but this just stinks. Fortunately Jimmy Hill isn't having to witness the club slowly dying (watched to tribute programme last night). Worst owners in history and worst Council in history.

Was actually looking forward to next season - not any more.

I thought the RFU only allowed Wasps to move if they kept their academy in London?

From what I can gather its a done deal that this is being changed. The likes of Worcester and Leicester are apparently preparing to take legal action against Wasps and RFU.

The amount of damage that witch has done to our club and city is shocking. And, still she get elected by her flock.
I know a lot of people said they'd celebrate when Maggie died but she takes it to a whole new level in my book.

Will be interesting to hear the other side of it, no doubt just making out wasps to be amazing etc.

it's not that big a surprise. The Higgs/SISU/CCFC has been strained at best for a long time particularly regarding the AEHC.

Do you have ccfc saying they want to stay there long term and have been trying to sort it and not getting anywhere.

Then I guess later on it will be that they had to move wasps in because ccfc would not commit long term....

I thought Lucas said as part of WASPs buying Ricoh they were going to build a training facility?

isn't this just part of the overall confusion about the way everything has been done over the last 18 months or so? The club had often been quoted as wanting to include new academy facilities in the new stadium plans. Wouldn't commit to more than a rolling 12 month contract after the much-publicised spat a couple of years ago when the academy moved out for a while. Higgs Trust have spoken up before about expanding the facilities offered to other local groups. So people make alternative plans for the future.
Maybe the club should have learnt from the situation that left the door open for Wasps to grab the Ricoh.

Hasn't Anderson said for a while they want long term at higgs?
