Mr Anderson also voiced disappointment over plans to remove the Sky Blues’ vital youth academy from the Alan Higgs Centre in Allard Way in June next year, into which Wasps is to move its training and academy facilities. He told us it now appears to be a done deal.

Of course if the council hadn't decided to shut the existing sports centre, which I'm not convinced stacks up financially, there wouldn't be any need for a new pool at Higgs.

The club had often been quoted as wanting to include new academy facilities in the new stadium plans. Wouldn't commit to more than a rolling 12 month contract after the much-publicised spat a couple of years ago when the academy moved out for a while. Higgs Trust have spoken up before about expanding the facilities offered to other local groups. So people make alternative plans for the future.
Maybe the club should have learnt from the situation that left the door open for Wasps to grab the Ricoh.
