Bottom line is, no-one has any 'facts' here necessarily. All we have is what is out in the public domain.

I have no reason to believe Neal, but then at the same time no reason to disbelieve him. I don't know the bloke personally so am unable to vouch for him. All we do know is that tapping up does go on, even if it is just on an informal basis.

He didn't say he was tapped up he said the club had given permission and a formal interview took place between two candidates - neither of whom is the preferred candidate - and as I say why disbelieve someone - why not just accept what was told was not correct.

Good to see Martcov liked your post - he's a bit disappointed as he was waited to poke his anti club stick into proceedings and now has put in on hold.

No I'm not. I'm saying you revealed information from a source which proved to be incorrect.
Nothing has been Proven to be correct at all. Anderson says "No contact" so you all believe him. Not once have the words "No contact" been spoken by TM/MV/RUFC.
"Truth will out"

Anti club? How? I said it would be reasonable to believe that some contact had been made although my only 'proof' was what the shirt sponsor said. I also Said that TM only has a year left on his contract so 'may' be sussing out alternatives. Also an example of change of statement which suited you was JS announcing plans/ talks on the BPA which he had originally denied. This showed how much denials mean. You were like a pig in shit at that reversal.

The comment said the club had given him permission - that is a formal approach.

So what happened next?

Rotherham thought he was rubbish and rejected him - or -

He decided sisu were far better owners than Rotherham

Either way your pointy stick can't come out can it?

The scale of the perception problem surrounding our club is unbelievable. Despite the wealth of evidence to the contrary the worst case is always believed.

Bawtryneal stated that he knew that TM had been interviewed; he even gave the venue. Further he was led to believe that Mowbray and Venus approached Rotherham not the other way round. The job he thought would go to either M with V as his assistant or to the former Blackburn boss, Gary Bowyer.

A week on CCFC have denied receiving an approach, Rotherham admitted talking to out of work candidates but have denied being the sort of club who would talk to someone already in a job, and have approached officially - and are set to appoint - Alan Stubbs from Hibs.

So the scenario seems very clear to me. Either Bawtryneal (who is involved with the new sponsors of the Rotherham kit) was genuinely misinformed or there's a series of deceptions, bordering on conspiracy, from our manager, his assistant, their chairman and our chief executive to keep the real story from emerging (except on this fans' message board).

You need a very good reason to reject the simplest explanation (that Bawtryneal was wrong on this). I don't see one.

Yeah, agree. It's fine to say Neal got it wrong. What I don't like is the high handed, belittling fact posts.

Seemingly Neal got it wrong, but we don't know that with any degree of certainty to my mind. If I BawtryNeal I would be going back and trying to put a bit more meat on the bones or finding out where the incorrect information came from.

Does on paper look like he was possibly misinformed. I just don't like the high horse approach from some.

Who says Bawtryneal was "Misinformed" infact, who says he was "Informed" about anything?

Did you read my reply? Did I say I believed in a formal approach or claim to know anymore than anyone else? In what way does my reply in anyway attack the club? It is true that Mowbray hasn't shown signs of moving to Cov - not surprising with only a short term contract. Also not unreasonable to suggest he wants to see what options are out there. I am pleased Mowbray is here and hope he sees his contract out, we get promoted and he gets offered an extension. You call that anti club? I call hoping for a small stadium and people quoting Bournemouth's stadium size as grounds for down sizing as anti club - and anti fans as many potential new fans may be unable to get tickets if we ever get success. But you think you could afford higher priced tickets caused by supply and demand - so who cares?

How did he find out then? Next you'll be saying that it was him who did the interview
Everyone has their opinion on what went on. There are some brainy men/women on this forum yet not one has come up with the answer to Bawtryneal's post. Keep thinking guys/girls,coz I'm not going to do it for you ;)

He said he was informed. I chose and still choose to believe he was genuinely passing on what he thought was true. As a poster he doesn't have a history of winding up for the sake of it, and he gave a plausible connection to RUFC.

Do you think it's all fantasy?

Didn't really answer the question though did it? That's the second post I've seen from you saying 'where did he say he was informed'. Obviously, him starting a thread and saying he is close to the owners and that is how he knows is a pretty big giveaway that he was informed, whether correctly or incorrectly.

No mate, I don't think it's fantasy at all. 100% believe what Neal has said. It's not what he thought was true.. It's what he knows is true ;)

Pretty much self explanatory Hill83. After all I'm thick aren't I? I don't know anything do I?

Why are you communicating in a code no one understands.

Just say what you've got to say.

I bet it is some sort of new rumour that will be made up from it to say SISU are bad somehow.

A "Yeah but" type of thing.

Weren't you having a go at my post? If not, why reply in the first place?

Yeah...you pretty much insinuated that Torch et al would have egg on their faces if TM was appointed. I said that was awkward as Stubbs looks like hes getting a new job with Rotherham.

Can you not see that?

You all act like you know more than the OP. So at this point "I'll leave things at that" bye:happy:

NO! I did not say that! I said if it ever comes out that TM/MV had spoken to RUFC they would have "Egg on their faces". A phrase I'm still saying when the truth comes out. Might take some time but the truth will eventually come out.

No one is acting like they know more than the OP. As Otis and a couple of others stated, there could be a genuine reason as to why Neal said what he said. Like others have also said, he's seemingly not the type to make shit up.

That said, the one thing that this forum is good at (on all sides) is picking things apart and deciphering whether something has much merit. It just seems strange that a club would inform a shirt sponsor of such information that wasn't in the public domain at that point or that someone in a decent position would publish such sensitive information despite allegiance.

What didn't help was comments like 'egg on your face'....

For the record sbk, I've not stuck my neck on the line either way in this, nor have I said the original poster is talking bollocks.

The truth about what? Are you in the know as well know?

What truth is going to come out?
