I buy a ticket from CCFC for a CCFC game at the Ricoh, I don't buy anything there. The bar shutters are pulled down after and hour and out we all we all had to shuffle. As you appear simple as well as selfish, here goes: - I personally didn't buy anything from the bar. Others did, which is their choice of course.

You are an embarrassment to our club (just to clarify, that's Cov City, not Wasps)

People who are embarrassment to the club are those that insult fellow fans.
What in your opinion have I done wrong ? ......................

I don't insult fellow fans - just one fan, you.
What have you done wrong? Well, when our club dies, I suspect you will just shrug shoulders and think " Hey ho, I'm alright Jack, at least I've got Wasps to go and watch. And I'm making a few quid too!"

You are contributing financially to an organisation who seeks to remove this football club out of its city or at the very least marginalise it permanently.

By refusing to acknowledge your error and boycotting this threat in the future you are endorsing the threat. You can't really have any affinity for the football club at all.

So it's because I go to Wasps matches and also make money from Wasps fans ?
If I stay away and close my business how will that help ?

The threat has happened the question is how we make the best of it.
We can try and bring Wasps down to our level or bring ourselves up to their level.
I suggest a lot on here would sooner we both fail. Highlighted by people effectively saying we should ignore the Wasps olive branch in regards the Higgs.

You need to pick a side Italia. You can't have it both ways.

Frankly is that a serious response.

It will help as it shows CCFC fans are united against Wasps and agree the untold damage they are doing to the club.

You boycott something if you find it morally reprehensible.

Didn't you once say on here that you could hold your head high as you never went to Sixfields?

Ok so now start a thread saying you can hold your head high as you will not be attending wasps next season and have thrown your season ticket renewal form in the bin.

How will Wasps know I'm not attending ?
I quite enjoy watching it. Firm in the knowledge that the damage was done long before they arrived.
Never had a go at Sixfields attendees but did advise them of Sisu plan they were supporting.
I've already renewed. Same as my CCFC ticket. That's 49 years now !!

But still pursue it.
Armstrong has offered to help so lets get all the details.

It is an empty offer, it doesn't meet Cat 2 academy regulations, more over, they are taking 2 of the remaining 4 outdoor pitch's for sole use, will use a third for 1/2 the time so that leaves just one public pitch. There is no way the academy will be able to stay at the higgs.

There's Six outdoor pitches if you count the Astro turf one.
I go twice a week and I have never seen the top 3 pitches used.
The indoor pitch will be available to the academy. It will even have fitness monitoring which is a requirement of Cat 1 !!
I don't know whether the academy can still meet Cat 2, all I'm saying is that CCFC should pursue it.

You need primacy to have a cat 2 academy, I posted a screen shot of the rules.

I go every Saturday and most Saturdays all of the pitches are being used

3 hours in the evening and access to 1.5 pitches is not enough.

And actually excluding the astro, there are 4 pitches actually.

Wasn't that the argument for all those who paid to see CCFC at Northampton?

I don't care as long as it makes people think of solutions rather than problems.
Just throwing a few ideas out there, but being challenged on my attendance and business, because of it.
It's not me bringing my personal situation up but I reserve the right to respond.
Bullies always tackle the easy targets rather than the actual problem.

There is scope within that document, surely ?
The current indoor pitch is not exclusively used by the academy at the moment.
All I'm saying is pursue it !!

The academy gets primacy - if they need it, they get it.

Oh and you've missed the bit about there only being 4 grass pitches.....

is it even practical? I assume that Wasps will have several age group sides playing at weekends so using the pitches anyway. how many teams does a Premiership rugby club have?

No, but it doesn't matter. It sounds good as a headline and reading a headline is about the limit of capability for many.

I can see 5 grass pitches there and one astro turf.
Wasp are having the main outdoor pitch next to the Higgs for their indoor pitch and the first pitch next to the astro as there outdoor pitch.

The one adjacent to the higgs (top right under the compass sign) is the one that is being replaced by the 'kicking barn', that leaves 4 + the astro.

Out of the 4, was get sole access to 2, and use a third half of the time.

That leaves 1 for public use and 1 that can be used half the time when wasps aren't using it.

Plus the astro.

Exactly what I said yesterday, even if Wasps offer does meat cat 2 facilities requirement. I'd question whether simply there is enough space for two massive sports academy to both be there.

The headline is the start, the art is to pursue it and see if it's feasible and within the academy rules which apparently can be stretched.
Just a though, but maybe that's because yesterday you said would stop attending if any new staduim capacity was 15k or less with no chance of expansion. Or couldn't walk to it. Or some other bollocks...
Nothing wrong in telling Sisu I wont be attending if the stadium is stuck at 15,000..
Helps them make the right decision.
The walk up bit is one of the reasons I like the Ricoh. But feel free to quote it at any opportunity.
For the record I would attend a stadium anywhere in the Coventry area providing it can be expanded to PL capacity when required.
I would also attend a smaller (non expandable) stadium if it was shown, without doubt, that the club needed to do it to survive.

Of course you don't care. Did the foundation say to the club look Wasps want to build their academy here do you want it we will give you time to sell Ryton and you buy it and move everything here? If the club said no then that would be a level playing field and we would be entitled to blame the club. But no they know that after June 17 the academy has nowhere to go,and that this will probably hasten the demise of the club. So you enjoy watching the Wasps because you won't be watching the City for much longer. Myself I'll be watching the real Coventry rugby club but you carry on taking your 30 pieces

I fear I'll be shouted down for the above and not being passionate or caring about the club or predicament we face but this is totally misplaced - I'm simply hoping to offer people an overview of the position we find ourselves in.

So in your view, objections to the site are ultimately futile to get any application rejected (there are no grounds that could be used for that) but may at least make some noise?
