Are wasps not allowing the community to use their new State of the art training facility and creating jobs there as well?
Wasps are only allowing the hall to be used and then, judging by the limited offer to CCFC, only for very few hours. However other community facilities would be lost, overall there will now be less facilities available for the public.

How many jobs are you expecting there to be? Pretty sure Wasps will already have ground staff and maintenance staff.

Pretty sure it said in the CT the only part of the wasps new training centre the community will be allowed to use is the kicking barn, and I imagine that's only because of the swimming pool, and will be less community access than the indoor higgs football pitch gets. The training will also see the skate park, allotment and netball area go, so it will have a lot less community use than it currently gets.

Will it create jobs? I imaging it will be a large out of city contractor coming in to build it, then most of the people that will work there will be existing employees relocating from London

It's all far too simplistic to look just at 'facilities' and 'jobs' anyway. The latter often takes away from elsewhere (in this case, CCFC jobs!) whilst the former isn't solely what ''community' is. 'Community' is also a sense of social cohesion, the depth and stability that comes with time... etc etc. It's far more intangible than being able to go swimming!

Is that grounds for a planning objection?

I'd swap our poorly performing hedge fund for upcoming Wasps holding Company tomorrow.

I'd swap 'no chance' for 'some chance' all day long .

Football clubs can't be moved know the loophole has been closed since MKDons.

Course you'd swap. You're the skybluestalk hedge fund whore.
When are you cracking out the Wasps are saving us banners?

The thread you started Italiahorse finally brings to an end any respect you had on this forum.
It's now time for you to stop posting on this site, a Coventry city supporters site may I remind you, and continue your campaign on Wasps.co.uk where you surely belong.
You have business interests with Wasps, so your comments on how the football club should proceed are null and void.
Goodbye

Just to finish for this Sunday, which I have really enjoyed in the garden with friends, that if Wasps took us over that's it for me.
It's immoral and would be the worst thing ever to happen to the club.
We need to be free of the insects and the bloody hypocritical council, if we have to go back to park football I'm in.

Do I want Wasps owners taking over our club? No.

Would they do a better job of it than SISU? Most probably.

Would it be possible to run us worse than SISU? That would take some doing.

I don't think that it will happen. But there would be big advantages to them.

We need a ground to play in. They have one.

They could offer discounts for a double season ticket.

They would get all income from both clubs. And all costs of the Ricoh could be shared.

They have invested in the playing side of Wasps. They have got as high as they can unless they become the Manchester United of rugger. There would be a lot of money to be made if they could make us a top flight club again.

Do I want them to take us over? Not at this moment. But who knows what direction we are going in? Things are looking bad now. Will we have anywhere to play in a couple of years? What is going to happen to the academy? Wasps would have the answer. And do they see saving our football club as a way of being accepted by the majority of people in Coventry?

I don't think that it will happen. But thinking that something won't happen doesn't mean it won't. They are a hedge fund. They take gambles. And it would be a lower risk gamble than SISU have taken.

We might not like the idea of being taken over by Wasps. But we have been run so badly for a lot of years now that it wouldn't take a lot for most CCFC supporters to get behind them.

So it is alright supporting a team that is already owned by a hypocritical hedge fund?
As for park football that is where we are heading at the moment.

Immoral owners? Just like we have now?

I will still support CCFC. And moan like fuck about our immoral owners. But just like SISU if they managed to turn our club around I would give them an easy time. Just like the vast majority of us last season when we were in the top 6.

Park football without the influence of evil SISU,council , wasps , I don't ever want it to come to that but I'm fucking sick of those three playing games with my club.
Butts in a limited stadium ,with non of those three , yes I'm in.

Astute, like you I will support the club whatever happens, but if wasps did take us over then I will finally say a very sad goodbye.
They have relocated their club 85 miles from there home, so they are even more immoral than SISU, which is very hard to do.

Same here. But how do we get rid of SISU? And we need CCC to help in getting the Butts up to standard. And someone to pay for it.

But would you support it if it did benefit your football team ?
Would it not satisfy your ambition that CCFC were playing in their own stadium ?
Wasps could give CCFC priority at the Higgs and gain us back our Cat 2 status at no extra cost.

Could Wasps maybe move Ryton to their facilities no longer required at Broadstreet ?

Win win ?
Not true you lose cat 2 you don't get it back

It is a close call between the two of them. One had a permanent home but moved away to try and get it cheaper. The other moved away because there was a ground going cheap.

Both scum to me.

One invests in the playing side. The other invests in court action and not the club.

I don't want either of them at my club. But I am not going to be forced away from my football club by morals of those running it. If I was I would have given up before SISU arrived.

But I am not going to be forced away from my football club by morals of those running it.

That's fine and, tbh, a perfectly reasonable position, if not mine.

It seems mildly crazy to campaign to replace SISU with Wasps however. Personally I'd rather campaign for owners to rock up who are somewhat better than both of them!

I have always thought the Wasp section on here that other sports forums like to mention needs a 'Letters from Wycombe Jima' thread giving the deafening cries of fans losing their sports club to another city.

I fully agree with you. Like I said I don't want either of them at our club. But very soon we might not even have a ground to play in. Who would want to take us over when we would need a massive investment just to be able to play? And if someone was found that was willing to put countless millions in where could they build a stadium?

Really ? What respect have I had on this forum ?
If I read you right you want to stick with Sisu as they take you to a park pitch ?
You need to give this some serious thought, out of the sun.

I will continue to post while I still have this middle finger to type.

Which is why, atm, I'd be putting aside the politis of right and wrong, and pushing for plans to be advanced ref: the Butts, pushing for academy salvation... and so on.

Let's face it, SISU ain't likely to deliver, but it'd be a damned site easier for anybody coming in to pick up the pieces if plans are at least slightly advanced. Currently we have bog all except for a very weak hand indeed.

Italia, how can you give your opinion when you are in business with Wasps, of course your biased admit it.
I did say park football without SISU, so again your reading what you want.
Anyway how's the parking income for Wasps ten games a season going ?
Your biased admit it

That's what I'm saying.
We are being squeezed into a corner by Sisu actions and Wasps are giving the appearance they can help us but in reality letting Sisu fall on their sword.
In a couple of years the club will be totally dependant on Wasps facilities and it's just a matter of waiting for Sisu to give in.
The club might be at the Butts in temporary stands (CRFC permitting !!) but like at Northampton it won't last.
A period of attrition will see the club at an all time low and Wasps can just pick up the pieces.
We need Sisu out in the next 2 years, we need them to let the club go without 'so called' debt and we need to bite the bullet and let Wasps be the owners. All while we are still at the Ricoh.
It's a hard ask, Wasps won't invest straight away but at least it's a stepping stone when they do take a punt.
