Tragic news. It makes you wonder what has caused him to commit suicide. It will come out no doubt.
I wouldn't go down the coward/selfish route, this would need the kind of wherewithal that's rarely present in someone willingly taking their own life.
I agree, I've actually dealt with (and still do to some extent, and not just due to being a city fan!) depression and it's genuinely hard to actually try to describe what it's like to someone who hasn't experienced it, your mind can do horrible horrible things. You can become as certain that everyone would be better off without you alive as you are certain that rain is wet. I'm not trying to excuse it at all, but if it is actually down to depression, cowardice and selfishness rarely come into play.
That said, it's still incredibly shocking as he never really seemed like "that" type of person. It seems to be a much bigger issue with footballers these days, Collymore has been writing about it recently too.
RIP.
I wonder if he suffered from depression in private, it's alarming how many footballers do (the recent book on Robert Enke really helps shed light on how money and success does not automatically make a footballer such a great job)
Firstly, I'm not alleging anything. Secondly, if it's true, then clearly he did wrong, but my problem is with the tabloid's for their complete disregard for people's private lives.
They've effectively driven a man to suicide.
In fact, The Sun and The Dail Mail have both just said that the rumours are untrue. Ignore what I said.
Well as people have also stated that its also been reported that its not true why do people like you continue to push the RUMOUR as if you want it to be true. Happy at some one else demise are you.
I have sympathy for the wife and children he selfishly left behind.
