Looks very much like "their" plans to me as you are going on about them not having one.

So you think I believe that people here would have been involved in making of the plan?

Does this mean Mr & Mrs Kinnock will be looking for new jobs? ;)
Not crying and I certainly hope it works out for the best. Saying that how can anyone, including those that voted leave, not be alarmed by the speed at which the backtracking is taking place?

chief, I didn't vote to leave, but not surprised NF can't guarantee it, as he isn't in government... I didn't hear what he had to say before the vote on this, but i expect there were lots of "could's" being used?

Out of interest what did you Base your Vote Out on? What did you want to see change?

Sent from my E5823 using Tapatalk

I read Daniel Hannan's book about the inner workings of the EU (he's a Tory MEP - I don't share his politics by any means). The EU ultimately wants to be recognised as a state in itself, I don't want that. I am British and I want to hold the elected British government to account; the leave vote at least removes British MPs' ability to blame the EU for our ills.

I didn't vote out based on that, don't know anybody who did.

Did you know that it is actually EU rules that open provision of NHS services up to competition?

Yes, I heard that too this morning - just needs some Govt. commitment to maintain the NHS as a public service. Would go against the grain though as I don't think the Govt's hand was being forced by the EU in regard to outsourcing.

I think we all knew the £350m for the NHS was a load of bollox anyway, not that it is down to Fascist Farage anyway - he isn't a UK MP

Incidentally, I popped down to A&E earlier for a gander, and there was no queue, and my GP phone to ask when I wanted my knee op as all the waiting list have disappeared!

Yep, They are winging it to see what deal the EU can come up with. - Boris was hoping in the very beginning to have a second referendum, because Cameron said "be clear, their will not be a second referendum" when he first spoke with Boris.

Now Cameron has gone, Boris could be in the hot seat, and demand better reforms and request a second referendum.

But Europe are quite clear on Farages' view- not Boris' view, EU immigration will not be discussed further.

In the UK the government HAS got the power to change things within the UK - it's the UK government who decide pension paid is £60* a week, and dole is £90* a week to Eastern Europeans. (these figures came from a pensioner, a member of public voting out who appeared on TV on Monday). *I have no idea what the real figures are.

If immigrants are only coming to claim benefits then change the system in the UK - Which the UK CAN do without Europe. Change it to effect everyone in the UK not just discriminate against migrants - That's racist. Simple in Spain, YOU ONLY GET WHAT YOU PAY IN.

Why Can Spain change what it does here, I know working laws have changed 3 times in the 7 years I have been here.

Boris said that article 50 will not be implemented just yet. Another 'out campaigner' analyst has said that the UK will probably still be paying (now they admit its not quite £350million a week) into the EU for the next 4 years.

Scottish Referendum "highly Likely" - Nicola Sturgeon - waiting for article 50 to be implemented, which is the official announcement from the UK to leave the EU.

We are world leaders, always have been , 5th largest economy, fantastic broad base of skills, trading links with the entire world way before much of Europe. The EU was a sham, getting worse by the month but more than anything else we cannot keep taking people to the tune of over 300,000 per year from anywhere. Hopefully we will align with a system more akin to Australia or the old German work permit system. More than anything for me we have to stop accepting people who come here and don't integrate, those same people who invoke the most fear and add the most security risk.

I think that we're down to 6th largest already below France. Wait for the multinationals to leave and then see where we end up.

People in London are like a different breed. They can't believe that us suckers in the provinces have voted against them. It shows the mentality of your typical university leaver, no wonder politics is a mess. They genuinely think that they know better than everybody else.

Yeah how dare they, people who spend 3 years of their lives developing an advanced understanding on a subject thinking they know better than someone who reads the paper. Makes me sick

Keep calm and carry on dears.............The pound is now back to a similar level to 10 days ago against the EURO and the FTSE 100 is starting recover ground. The initial collapse was the usual speculators, followed by the profit taking. Companies will still trade and make profits. The boys in the City will still be creaming it off today.
We've not rejected Europe or it's people we've rejected the failing EU project !

I heard that they are standing outside GP surgeries now trying to entice people in with the offers of various treatments like the strip in Magaluf....2 hip replacements and a free boob job for the ladies

The EU public contracts directive states that public service contracts (i.e. those between NHS commissioners and providers of NHS services - i.e. NHS Trusts, Charities and Private Providers) have to be advertised for open competition if their value exceeds €750k (so basically 99% of NHS commissioned contracts), this is transposed into UK law as from 18 April this year. That is a fact.

Let the dust settle, let people get some sleep, let the markets calm down.............No-one IS going to have all the answers whilst the fall out is still settling.
The swallows are still flying around the skies, the moon hasn't collided with us just yet and the grass is still growing on a reasonable summers day. My cat wonders what all the fuss was about, it's not often I stay up all night with him !!

I wonder how many lies from the leave campaign will have come to light by the time the the dust settle's.

I wasn't aware that there were or are university courses about the advantages and disadvantages of voting for or against remaining part of the EU.

Do the special ones have access to another set of media beyond these 'papers' that the great unwashed read?

Perhaps you just don't know many people. I know plenty who sighted it.

Provision yes. But it would and will always be UK government who take that decision and the power to do that has quite possibly been handed to three men who have expressed a desire to change the NHS fundamentally from what it's supposed to be. In or out the NHS is always going to be vulnerable to the likes of Gove, Boris and IDS if they're allowed to have that sort of power. So I don't really see what point you were making there.

Fair enough, like I say, I was unaware. But to my recollection, outsourcing of public services (and not just the NHS) started a long time before this April.

Anyway, I'm off out now to get the keys for my new council house :)

Now Northern Ireland looking for an independent referendum.

Northern Irelanders' queueing outside official offices in Dublin to see if the can get a Republican Passport or dual nationality.

As borders would have to be put up between EU Republic of Ireland & Non EU Northern Ireland, after all we don't want immigrants going from France to Ireland then sneaking through the borderless border between Northern Ireland & Republic of Ireland.

the labour strategists in London shown to be completely out of touch with its core vote yet again

Very true. In fact I'm not sure there is a labour core vote anymore.

SNP have wiped them out in Scotland and UKIP are doing the same in the Midlands and North.
How does somebody go from being a socialist to voting for Ukip ?

My understanding is that anyone born in Northern Ireland is automatically entitled to Irish and/GB nationality, so any application would be a formality.
I am an Irish citizen, and I strongly suspect, depending on what happens with GB nationals in regard to right to free health care as well entry to EU countries, that my wife and kids will also take up Irish citizenship.

Looking at the vote in NI it would seem that the Unionists voted to leave and nationalists and republicans voted to stay. No surprise there then. There will be an issue regarding the border though. Will they leave it open and check people coming over from NI or will the put a border in place to separate the north and south?

I thought that the border being open was a vital part of the peace process, whatever your thoughts on the outcome today we have to hope it doesn't descend into violence again.

So, Susanna Reid has pushed Nigel Farage on the NHS this morning and guess what? He NOW says that we can't guarantee that money that currently goes to the EU can go to the NHS. The vail of deceit is falling already and the smoke hasn't even settled yet. I wonder how many voted out based on this. As John Major also pointed out you can't trust Boris, Gove or IDS with the NHS either. Between them they either want the NHS privatised or pay at source.

Big big mistake this vote.
Farage is not part of the official leave campaign not is an elected official. He has no right to say how money should be spent.

There's already a lot of violence and attacks going on again over there. Time will tell on that one but not sure that the border or a vote will change hundreds of years of religious prejudice and hatred.
