Peeps aint happy
Jo Curran What a joke. And then they open the cash turn styles anyway. And no delayed kick off even with loads of fans still queuing outside. When will this club ever learn

I turned up without a ticket, expecting pay on the gate, seen the size of the queue and walked home. I wonder how many others did.

7.20 I got there, was expecting about 10-15 min queue time for a cash turnstile.

It would be very interesting to know how many also did the same thing tonight and , puts future walk ups off in future . it really is a debacle .

Hopefully they've learned the lesson from this. They can do cash turnstiles after all so just do them. Once they opened them the queues soon went down and a nice man in a wasps top at the collection window found my tickets in about thirty seconds.

Does anyone not agree we need cash turnstiles?

Ffs just do it as it clearly is the right thing to do.

Ah yes lessons learned , history suggests that's doubtful .

got there at 7.20 - one of the stewards said they would be opening cash turnstile
walked round the ground, and was in by 7.22

They cant carry on this ticket office fiasco

probably cost them 200 on the gate tonight or £3000

Very worrying when you see the potential money lost.

So from anyone who actually used the ticket office what was the issue? They said there were 5 service points, which it was said earlier in the thread was more than the number of cash turnstiles they have.

Was it just sheer number of people who hadn't got advance tickets or was each individual transaction taking a long time?

The queue didn't look to be too slow, didn't go in so can't comment if it was the system. I think it was also down to the sheer amount of people turning up later on. We have seen it a few times when kickoff is delayed where loads of people just rock up from 7.15 onwards. Had no issues at all getting in with a pre-purchased ticket.

They do need to sort the e-ticketing as that will make a difference and hopefully people use that to save the £1 as well!

It used to be carnage to get in when it was 5 quid a ticket for the jtp and all you had to do was give the cash to bloke on the turn style

Whenever anyone comes on here to point out obvious & glaring deficiencies in the
Ticketing operation at the club, people jump in to defend the indefensible.
Why is that ?

Exactly. We have had a couple of games delayed because of the queues, people rock up late and it causes the issue. The only way to beat it would be to have 10 people standing about just in case to open a turnstyle for cash.

because even when you could POTG we ended up with massive queues

Why" what's the problem, there clearly is one.
My local non league team process customers with no problems.

The problem we had when games were delayed was the sheer amount of people turning up with a few minutes to go.

Tonight it looked like there were loads rocking up later on so they need to make a decision on how they will go forward. I didn't go in the ticket office, did they have all of the terminals on the go at the same time?

Can't speak of tonight as wasn't there, last season home against Crewe joined POG line a 7.20 and
Got in stadium at 8.05 , although stadium is only a third full it is effectively a sellout.
Large sections of the ground are closed for business and completely unstaffed, IMO they need to
"Cut the crap" with all this condense the crowd for atmosphere BS and pay the staff to get enough
Of the stadium open to get people in.
Honest Question, did we have these problems with the North stand open.
If they were genuinely worried about atmosphere, they would try putting a team out there to create one.
