I know you guys probably couldn't care less, and appreciate your angst (though I think it's wrongly directed).

James Haskell may like the public limelight - but there is absolutely no reason whatsoever he would have a pop at some CCFC fans, for no reason whatsoever.

He was absolutely instrumental in winning the recent test series 3 games to 0 against Australia, putting his body on the line - which is exactly why he's walking round with a boot on, in the first, having broken his toe but even then, he kept on playing.

That saw England rise in the rankings, second only to the All Blacks, in the World.

If only the England football team played with the same passion and dedication, rather than looking like they couldn't be arsed. We're are we now - 13th in the rankings?

The biggest laugh is Wayne Rooney is paid more in a week, than I think nearly all English Rugby players (if not all) are paid in a year - so you'd think the team would have a little more drive, pride and passion.

Anyways - I digress. I'm convinced there was more than a little provocation, as this was totally out of character, off the pitch. On the pitch, possibly - but there is just no motivation!

I just look at the situation and try and take my bias out of it.
I don't like rugby, I don't like Wasps.
I don't give stuff about James Haskell.
I imagine until yesterday he probably didn't give a stuff about Coventry Fans let alone hate us.

Yet a lot of Coventry fans hate Wasps. Some people know how to handle that hate others do not.

You are right neither of us were there. So we can only listen to the accusations and make our own assessment based on what we hear and what is more likely than not

It seems that a fair few southern based Wasps fans aren't that keen on CCFC either.

The money thing is always brought up as they are jealous of footballers salaries but it's market forces, I shouldn't imagine anybody in the far or Middle East has even heard it ever seen anything about Haskell where as millions will know Rooney so he gets the big money. Rugby is a minority sports mainly played by toffs and the world isn't that interested in it.

Seems more likely than he received abuse which only he heard despite it being in a busy and crowded place.

If he'd have received genuine abuse we would have heard about it now by fans who seen it.

You pretend you are looking at it from an unbiased view as if that somehow strengthens your argument but anyone who knows your posting history knows you are chatting shit when you say you are looking at it with no bias.

I am saying if they heard their captain got abused by some Cov fans and he retaliated by calling them mugs.

Wasps as a business I totally agree with you, they wont want the PR.

But your reply was to someone talking about southern fans mouthing off. Hence why I said what I said.
I hope you find out what was said.
If he has been gobbed off at then calling people mugs to me is pretty restrained. I am never one to jump down the throats of sports stars who bite back. People seemed to think because they are famous or professionals that they have free reign to abuse them. Then go nuts when they get a bite back.
I find it bit far fetched that he also seemed to imply about us finding out "what mugs we are"......
