Or you don't seem to understand. All are to blame.Still can't give a straight answer.

I'm more concerned with CCFC competing again . don't really care who's to blame . it's a disgrace where we are and still are . nearly 16 years later ffs !
Or you don't seem to understand. All are to blame.
Well, you are as you wouldn't have started the thread in the first place stating people would be "defending the owners". You're a WUM.
I remember a few were wary and that Southampton had sent them packing not too long before they turned to us, but I completely bought the scaremongering. Threatened with oblivion, ended up in Northampton! Not me mate. Never wanted them anywhere near my Club, even before they "Bought" us. In fairness not a lot of Football fans will have known what a "Hedge Fund" was
I wonder what reaction he would have had from the likes of you, if he had said "Defending CCC"
Did you not read my post? Not once did I say it was all Sisu's fault, I said they were at least AS responsible as previous owners, but moving us away alienated everybody. This was Sisu's decision, there had to be a better option but playing hardball is their game, quotes of being the only show in town etc did nothing but piss people off from all sides but most importantly the fans, it caused a rift in our fan base that will take years to repair and they didn't do it for us they did it for themselves! We would as a club still have ended up paying through the nose to play in our home. As for the council and wasps.....I hate them all, wasps for buying our home and the council for selling it to them, but when I take off my sky blue glasses I can see why they did it, and that doesn't mean I agree with it just that I can see why. That smug fucker Tim Fisher and his pathetic attempt at bullying has cost this club more than we may ever know, I wouldn't deal with scum like him.....would you?Did you not read my post? The reason the stadium deal is where it is now is down to Richardson and co desperately moving away from Highfield Road and not having the business nous to negotiate a better deal.
I am not condoing SISU in any way, shape or form in witholding the rent or moving to Northampton as that was a big factor to alienating the fans. However the Council should've done more to help the club get back to playing in Coventry. So what do they do, they bring a club 90 miles away after of course suing Northampton for allowing Coventry to play at Sixfields for a season. Oh and allowing the franchise team to build on the AHC land for their 'barn' or whatever they are wanting to build despite identifying 17 sites.
What are your thoughts on the Council and Wasps out of interest, the apples in your eye?

And this is where it becomes a problem for me, the "I hate Wasps but I see why the Council sold to them". argument. I don't. I genuinely don't see why they did it.
SISU aren't going to be here forever. One day they will leave and the Council should have waited for that day. The most important things in this sorry saga are the football club - you know the team that have been here for 133 years - and the Ricoh, the stadium that was built FOR the club.
The Ricoh was apparently a success and was doing fine. The Club were moving back from Sixfields and the Council said we had to build bridges before ownership of the stadium was discussed. Despite saying this publicly they'd already agreed a deal with the Franchise, but hey I digress. Now, they didn't want to sell to SISU, fair enough, that's up to them, so agree a long term deal with a rent that sustains the football club and the stadium. Once, SISU fuck off then start talks with the new owners.
But no, they give Wasps a whopping 250 year lease - that is effectively forever, hamstringing the club and the shafting the fans in one swift movement. Not the fans fault who owns the club and not the clubs fault either, but out of petty spite, 130 years of history was flushed down the toilet.
And because of those ridiculous decisions the club is still owned by SISU with ZERO prospect of being taken over by another owner. What is there to sell? What assets are there to attract a potential investor who knows that Wasps effectively own everything until 2264. There are loads of clubs more attractive already.
What did genuinely make me laugh was all the hysterical cries of "don't sell to SISU they just mortgage the stadium" and what did Wasps do within months? Brilliant.
Anyway, hopefully we'll leave the Ricoh one day to Wasps and we can have our own purpose built stadium somewhere in the city. Fantasy? Maybe, but better than a slow death at the Ricoh.
Didn't realise Ryton was a council asset belonging to the Coventry tax payers..Isn't that what SISU did with Ryton?
Isn't that what SISU did with Ryton?
Whats tuis got to do.with Ryton or is this one of your classic diversionary masterstrokes.
I dont know did they? Send me a link there's a good chap.Nothing diversionary, within months SISU remortgaged Ryton. Or is it hysterical only when some other Hedge fund than SISU do it?
It's what Hedge funds do. isn't it?
Leicester went into administration in 2002 and effectively wiped clean their slate. Their situation and ours are very different.Well Leicester were in a worse situation now they are breaking their transfer records every week.
So it can be done just have to have the commitment and business plan to execute it.
Funny how do called City fans accept the position we are in, don't know of any other fans that would be happy with underachieving for over 10 yesrs
Because Richardson could effectively do what he wanted as long as returns on their investments kept coming in. Doesn't matter if it was through the club making profit or through bank loansIf it was all his money how did we owe the Co-op Bank so much? Why did we borrow so much?
Like I said the board were happy to let Richardson spend away, starting the ball rolling to where we are now. Like I said there is a bigger picture to this whole mess.
Yes they got owners who are prepared to spend someoney to make them better.Leicester went into administration in 2002 and effectively wiped clean their slate. Their situation and ours are very different.
They got thai billionaires, they also bought the whole stadium for about 8 million less than we got offered the match day revenue for.Yes they got owners who are prepared to spend someoney to make them better.
Ours are happy to see us in this league.
Sisu were interested. They got thai billionaires, they also bought the whole stadium for about 8 million less than we got offered the match day revenue for.
That's why people probably aren't interested in us
Promoted to where? The championship where we go to having pretty much the bottom 3 or 4 turnover / revenue?Sisu were interested.
Look if they invest a little more to help us get promoted then he money goes up tv rights etc then bigger gates against some really big sides they would get their money back and more.
They are not interested that is the problem.
Do you guys hate Joe Elliott because he is an irritation to Sisu ?
Sisu were interested.
Look if they invest a little more to help us get promoted then he money goes up tv rights etc then bigger gates against some really big sides they would get their money back and more.
They are not interested that is the problem.
Then what happens if it fails? People want their money back etc.So easy, forest owners have spent £68m in 4 years, have a £30m wage bill (circa x3 our entire turnover if we ever got to the championship), and are still no nearer the PL.
Throwing money doesnt guarantee success.

If it fails, they should throw a bit more money at it, then if that doesn't work, throw a bit more, then they should write off any debt owed to tham and hand the club over to the next mug for £1...Then what happens if it fails? People want their money back etc.
They can try to cut back and be self sufficient without the need to plough loads in.

Hmmmmm no reply, I'll take that as you would blame the bloke you bought the car off
what wasps have done may be good business but that doesn't mean people have to like it.Your post shows exactly why you are a naive fool (amongst others on here).
Lets quickly deal with Wasps. They are the same as Sisu apart from the fact they seem to be able to take care of business. They saw an opportunity as businessmen and took it and to this point that decision seems to have been a success. If you were in business like they are, you would have done the same. But you're not. You only work in sales and PR for the Observer.
Onto the council and this is where you really become naive. Council are politicians and what do you really expect? Politicians tell us all the time that they are thinking about the best interests of the people they are supposed to be representing. But what we actually know is something completely different. How many of the cities population actually actively support the club, a very small percentage and why would the council think about us first before everything else that goes on in the city. There is plenty of things around the world where governments and countries far bigger and more important than little old Coventry are willing to let races, civilisations, animals and the climate go to shit so the absolute outrage on here about Coventry makes me chuckle at times. The council are partly to blame for where we are but when we take off the sky blue tinted specs, should we expect politicians in Coventry to be any different to elsewhere? They do not have a direct responsibility to CCFC and CCFC alone. Our owners on the other hand do............
what wasps have done may be good business but that doesn't mean people have to like it.
As for the percentage of the city who actively support the club, who knows what the percentage is but I bet it's significant.
Bear in mind that if you attend one game a season you actively support the club.
It's a dumb analogy. The person selling a car is never to blame.
Oh so let's stay where we are then.Promoted to where? The championship where we go to having pretty much the bottom 3 or 4 turnover / revenue?
Ha ha.If it fails, they should throw a bit more money at it, then if that doesn't work, throw a bit more, then they should write off any debt owed to tham and hand the club over to the next mug for £1...

No, the championship.Oh so let's stay where we are then.
The way you talk we are bottom three in this league
Trying to run it break even?Ha ha.
usual reply from you.
About time they did something because what they are doing now is slowly killing our club.
So might as well go out with a bang and not a whimper.
