It is all good saying to work with Wasps, with the intention of getting the Ricoh at the later date, but the longer they stay the more ingrained into the city they become. At the moment, they own a single asset in Coventry the stadium. If they are allowed to gain access to the Higgs, this will just make them even harder to get rid off.
If Wasps are willing to work with us fine, but clearly they aren't, and at this moment it seems to me like there is only going to be one or the other in Coventry, in the near future

Yeah fucking City of Rugby, not for me pal, the sport is only suitable for people of a certain build. Unlike Football, Cricket which can be participated in much more widely. By its nature Rugby is a very restrictive sport only playable by a small minority.
Besides that it is my view that there should be no money budgeted by the council for professional sport, that applies equally to Rugby as well as to Football or Tennis etc. The budget should be to promote sport participation for the benefit for all Coventry residents and allocated in approximately in proportion to each sports popularity as a participation sport.
Has anyone done a FOI about Rugby funding by the council.
There was a FOI response I found about sports funding but it doesn't itemise each sport. I suspect the question, though asked, has been deliberately avoided.
The link about pitch strategy they provide is broken it goes to 404 Page Not Found, how convenient!

The football club won't die just let it drip along with Wasps not negotiating a new deal to use the Ricoh until legals get dropped, that will be the straw that breaks the camels back I believe. The FL will threaten to withdraw the golden share that will leave sisu a problem, basically a worthless asset and maybe, hopefully, someone out there will move in with a take it or leave it offer , far fetched ? maybe but sisu are definitely squirming and tried using the Acadamy as. ruse for the bigger prize in my opinion.

It's shit,we all know it's shit and there is nothing we can do about it.mtalk of boycotting is probably from the NOPM lot who don't go anyway so that's an easy decision but others seem to accept it and crack on. Watching the class of 92 Salford documentary and it showed shots of Valencia after losing some games, fans were going crazy whereas we just don't have that fight (myself included). Not sure if it's been slowly kicked out of us through the years but it's sad to see. We all have a common goal which is for the betterment of CCFC whatever side of the fence you sit on.

People have clearly become too entrenched in their positions now and I really don't see the point in some on here trying to bang posters' heads into submission.
Haven't people got anything better to do other argue all day and all night, day after day and week after week on the same point over and over again?
As Hackers said the other day, he'd been away for a while and he came back and finds that no-one has changed their stance.
It's all very futile.
I would say we are now at a time where there needs to be unity amongst fans and a common purpose of saving Coventry City FC.
Clearly we are not going to get it though.
I really try and steer clear of these endless ramblings and frothing at the mouth posts and threads. They go on for an age and at the end everyone is still in the same position they were right at the very beginning.
