What if they are new owners who can have a relationship with Wasps and the Council. A fresh start from someone who has not been caught up in any of the animosity and not involved in legal disputes.
Who can deliver a long term commitment at the Ricoh with greater access to revenue and secure a site for the academy?

The club is locked into a downward cycle. The only way you could break it is if the owners suddenly decide enough is enough and sell. Buyers will only purchase if the price is rock bottom so this as we all know will not be entertained. The only other ways that I see it is if you generate more support to fund the team but that means investing and we all know the answer to that one as well. I don't think a complete withdrawal of support to starve them out would work either as they will only go when JR1 and 2 have run their course even if it means moving the club. Their will be a new beginning at some point in the future where a new owner engages with all sides and the fans to move us back up the league. The problem is that the fan base is so disenfranchised with all partys that their is a genuine lack of interest in uniting behind any banner. They have already had season ticket money so they will go to the end of this season at least, things will only start getting shitty when they have to negotiate over the stadium lease. Sisu see us as a toxic debt that has been ring-fenced to stop any collateral damage seeping into their other business. The club will live or die by its balance sheet at the end of their day and no matter how united we as a fan base are they will not give a shit. PUSB.

For a start the state subsidises football. That really does help 'community' owned clubs. (In Germany it's actually members).

This is obviously an inflammatory question, but... if we were a community owned club right now, what would we be doing different to SISU? Ignore the history/hatred/court cases and try to answer objectively just looking at the football side of things. I'd say not a lot.

Completely agree with this, exactly how i feel. But, unfortunately blind hatred stops people from seeing that.

imho, the local papers & tv & radio are wary / scared of criticising our owners,
for fear of having access severely restricted,
like blackpool, portsmouth, leeds, etc.,
this can be the only answer, e.g. when have the local media ever directly criticised them ?
i & thousands of real supporters support the team thru thick & thin,
the media meanwhile get splinters in their arse thru sitting on the fence,
& then duck when the going gets tough

You can't get the fans united because there are too many different opinions. Just look at the threads on these forums.
All fans can do is go to games and cheer on the team.
Of course, half the team doesn't even belong to us.

ample threads on this. We cant agree on the best action, full house to show support, empty stadium to show annoyance etc etc

We will just get lower and lower crowds as people walk away and do something less boring instead. Many, (including me) on here will go regardless of on the pitch quality or success, but many others will (and have) walk away.

Personally I would empty the place for one game and pack it for the next (showing the full might of fan power). I would also pack a wasps game and sing the sky blues song throughout.

None of those 3 will happen though

I don't really know what is the best thing to do, I still think costing sisu hard cash and the only way I see for that is not going. But I fear relegation from this division because I don't think sisu will hesitate to put us in administration again, which would cost atleast 10 points and if in division 2 that could prove disastrous

You tell me. The question about CCFC's predicament and the barriers that apparently exist to it prospering? What are they and how might they be overcome? German community owned clubs are not relevant in this context. Unless you know of a German football club currently renting its stadium and academy training ground from an expansionist franchise rugby club?

Couldn't agree more. Boycotting, etc won't make any difference and it will only harm the team in the long run. As fans we can't influence SISU, Wasps, CCC, CSF or any of the other protagonists. The local press have made it clear they aren't interested, so it really is out of our hands.

But how many are actually boycotting?
The sad thing is that our support is dying more every season we stay in this league.
God forbid should we get religated.
I for one am slowly giving up. if I stop going it won't be due to boycotting it will be due to just had enough.
And it is then an uphill battle getting old supporters back.

True. But you'd think good news stories are clickworthy as well? I'm sure the Ladies team won the FA Premier League a couple of seasons back, after going something like 23 games unbeaten. Not one mention in the Telegraph all year, but I remember one Simon Gilbert having a twitter tantrum with them for having the timerity to ask for a mensh.

When Seppala chooses to exit there will be a process to be followed. Her debenture charge against the club's assets means she can dissolve it out of pure spite.
Don't let the SIAU apologists ever tell you otherwise!
It's a moot point as to whether she will choose to do this rather than extract whatever she can by way of cashing in on the CCFC br a nd.
In which case it may survive even if it means restarting at Midlands League level.
We will still need someone who knows what they're doing to pick up the pieces, if there's anything worth salvaging.
All speculation of course, but worth making preparations for.

Wouldn't it be great (never gonna happen) if the whole of the footballing community in england united against commercial football? We see all the time prem supporters complaining about prices, others complaining about ownership etc. Be great to do something like United FC (or what ever they call themselves) get the top 20 biggest cities in England (maybe 4 from London) to put together a team of their best, even if all local non professional players, sort out a fixture list playing at home when the main teams away, rent the ground (or a near by cheaper one) take it back to the good old days, cheap entry to cover ground hire, no policing (might not work). Good old sing song and make it more popular than sky. They might take notice then... Like I said wont happen but wouldn't it be great.
