Still January and free agents. Some good ones out there for our level we just can't afford them. If TM had more money he could afford them. That will only come from fans turning up, my idea gives him 3 games worth of money and looses him one (but he still gets season ticket holders money for that game).
It's not about giving SISU money, it's about giving TM money to buy good quality players. If people don't go then you can't blame TM for signing duds as thats all he has the money for.
He is trying his best with what he has, i think he was over ambitious this season and aimed to high (players he could not afford but thought he could get). For us older ones, including TM, CCFC is still a name and a sleeping giant, but for younger supporters and players nowadays they were not born or were too young to remember us as the 5th longest team in the top flight. They only remember us as a team in decline.
Back on track, protest can help if done right. That is why i suggested it the way i did.
TM tries to sign a player, player says why Cov, what can you do for me. TM shows them a full ground and says if you help us achieve succsess this is what you can have (massive club at this level and a big un at championship level).
Back yourself to bring the good times back and you will be a hero. The fans are their, we just need the team to bring them back.

Maybe so but how many managers are we going to blame before we realise why they fail. People like Chris Coleman,Aidy Boothroyd etc had good records coming to us but they still couldn't do it. I wonder why that was?

There is nothing wrong with saying people are to blame for different things. If the manager makes a stupid decision it is his fault.
No idea why people think everything is tunnel vision 1 size fits all.

No, he would probably want Messi and Ronaldo but he is managing a League 1 team, in League 1...It is what makes a good manager.
He signed Sordell quite early on, so I'd say he did choose to as it was far from a last minute panic.

He signed Sordell pretty early in the transfer window, well before Clarke went to sheff united, so you have to assume that he was high in Mowbrays list, he probably wanted both of them together.

Seriously? He knows the budget. He is a league 1 manager, he has to work to constraints and budgets. The same as 95% of teams in this division.

You target the players available to you and build a good squad with what is available, then you use a system that fits the players strengths?
Could sit there all day for any team and say "but we couldnt have x or y players".

That's what I'm trying to say. He shouldn't of taken the job in the first place but he has nothing to work with. Maybe he thought he could turn the ship around but it's just a poison chalice.

If he had nothing, he wouldn't have signed Jones and Turnbull and he wouldn't have dreamed of chasing Championship players and would have been getting Conference or League 2 players.

Or he chose the wrong targets and missed out on more suitable signings. Mowbray obviously finds the budget acceptable, it was what he negotiated on before signing last summer. He tells us that its the same as last season. As much as a higher budget is always nice, I think that Mowbrays lack of lower league knowledge has let him down again, and has set his targets too high
He's used to shopping in waitrose, but has tried shopping in asda on an aldi budget and ended up missing out on the best bargains in lidl. Hes then panicked and brought in a load of PL youngsters, some of which are no better than our own youngsters of which he doesn't seem to trust, and not he's back to looking at has been 'names' like he did when the lost the plot last season.
The budget if the same as last season, is adequate, it's mowbray and Venus who have messed up this summer. I imagine there's still a big chunk of budget left that's not yet been spent due to him missing out on players.

But do we know how much Turnbull was signed for, or Jones? Could be 50k each for all we know(not saying it was). Still have a lot of loans and free transfers in our squad.

I don't know but TM and MV have said that the club is now self sufficient and if the attendances goes up the budget goes up (same the other way). SISU put nothing in but cover shortfalls if unexpected. SO player and staff always get paid.
I have said before that i have a familly member working for CCFC, he had an injury last year and could not work for about 5 months, he was paid in full for the entire time and given the best medical treament paid for by SISU, they are a pain in our ass but they treat the team and staff well. Thats why managers and players are happy to stay.
As a Club we need SISU gone.
Tm and MV have stated that all the money that comes into the club they can spend as they wan't too.

TM has said many a time he gets the money the club generates so are you saying he is a liar?
Player sales so far have supposedly gone to a short fall in running costs.

I was talking more of Haynes and DKE, rather than George Thomas. And Thomas isn't that bad, he's young and still learning, and manages to score regularly for the u23's plenty of time for him to develop, he only recently turned 19.

No, we shouldn't be at the bottom of League 1. Our budget is a lot higher than that, so it points at the manager.
We have no right to be in the Championship though do we? Then what happens when as a club we can't afford to compete?
Should we be begging to get into more debt to SISU? I certainly wouldn't want that.
You then started off making comments about free players, loans and signing players and it was as if you didn't know that was pretty much how League 1 works and a hell of a lot of fans do it as well.

You don't want it to be debt to SISU, you want it them to give it to the club and it goes on.
then start banging on about free transfers and loans like we are the only team in league 1 it happens to, back to the start. then when it finally comes down to it "well we shouldn't even be in league 1". Then I will as you how we are going to fund the championship, then you say SISU should invest and it goes on and on. All the way back up to "Oh my god, why aren't we in the Premier League any more like Bournemouth"

Yes I probably did. I think you have to give kids a chance to develop, all youngsters develop at different rates, some burst on the scene at 17-18 and look the business and some take a bit longer to develop (21-22). You can't write someone off at 18-19, based on a handful of appearances in a shit side. We nearly binned off Wilson at 21.
Finch is still here, and conor Thomas managed to get a 3 year deal at a rival league one club. They can't be doing that badly.

Apart from the last game i thought our performances were picking up, not good enough but picking up. We have a new team and they need time to gell (TM has said that only the last 2 weeks he has had time to train them as before games came to quick and with match tactics and rest they never had much training time (system wise). Not sticking up for TM but i can't see anyone else we could afford/get doing any better.
I think this team needs time to gell and also TM to settle with a formation, i believe they can and we will start to climb the table. If we can stay up, next season we have youngsters with more experiance, players on contracts so they don't all need replacing and TM can then concentrate on signing less players but better quality ones.
