If we filled the stadium , would the middle of the tesco stand actually shout sisu out , or would they just leave it to the people that care as usual ?

I like the idea of trying to fill the stadium to bursting point and supporting the team when on the pitch and chanting Sisu out at half time this would get more coverage than standing outside the ground which is only 1/4 full at games anyway.

Brilliant comment, precisely why our fan base is so split. I have never missed a home game since I first started going 13 years ago but yeah I don't care because I don't aimlessly shout sisu out.
And it will be sisu.dividing fans too...

Why not have a rally in Broadgate like we had when we were in Northampton? Would be good to see such a gathering again in unison. Everyone in Sky Blue etc.

Exactly, said on another thread last night protest before at HT & FT in the ground but support the team more than ever during.

30,000 passionate & vocal fans would get the media/ social media attention as opposed to the mickey taking a boycott would gather.
Would SISU be worried about 30,000 fans lining their pockets, or would they be rubbing their hands with glee and say "nice one, we knew you would all be back".

My opinion is I don't see how giving them what they're only here for helps. Why would they leave if they earn over say £500k from that one protest/game?.

Do you think they would line their pockets from a one off?

So the money goes to them and they choose whether to put it back into the club?
After a protest of what you're saying, who knows what they would do, you can guess just like i can. It's all metaphorically speaking anyway isn't it?

And we can't guess what they will do if there are a couple of thousand more empty seats? In a ground with a whole Empty stand, near enough two if not many away fans.

They would have no choice but to act on it straight away, didn't Northampton prove this?

No, it didn't..

We were there for a full season and then rushed back a couple of games into the new season.

Was it that they didn't realise not many were going and it took them that long to act on it? Or was it just co incidence again?

Very strange they wouldn't move pre season.

They had no choice to stay a full season, ACL were not negotiating with them at all were they? Until they crawled back with their tail between the legs and half admitted they fucked up.

Surely the lack of fans in Northampton has proved that they cannot sustain their shit businesses model without us?

Yep it must have been the co-incidence stuff.

It still doesn't answer why so sudden into the new season? Why not the pre season?

If less people go, they just cut the budgets. Not too sure why people seem to miss that.

How about everyone wear boobies , you know tee shirts , aprons like robin from robins nest used to wear, fake boobs, anything , in a symbolic gesture to lady Godiva , after all that may get round the world as she is a lot more famous than ccfc , it may get picked up by the media ,as there is the angle of her doing it for the citizens of cov ,it might even be fun lol

Shame we are away on the 29th :(

Was thinking based on people thinking OSB's term of a "Zombie club" we could have filled it out and dressed up as CCFC zombies. Kids could have got involved as well.

A few thousands zombies in city shirts would make a statement ;)

I think the idea of a boycott is long overdue and something we MUST all do, personally I think it should be on the 8th against Chesterfield while it is a hot topic but I think the gate will suffer anyway that day as England play at 5PM (why are we playing on the same day as England again for the third season running, a few City lads will be torn between Wembley and the Ricoh, the game should have been moved to either Friday night or Sunday afternoon. This again shows the club has no business sense and couldn't give a monkeys about many supporters who follow both).

Something worth considering is that season tickets will be counted in the attendance as the official figure given is always on tickets sold, the more season ticket holders that boycott the better so any tv or press coverage there shows the actual attendance and the discontent.

There will never be a proper boycott of a league game. Its also ridiculous as tickets are already on sale and some people will have already purchased their tickets

The thing is a Boycott isn't over due as we have pretty much had one all season....

It needs to be something to catch the attention and go viral, somebody amongst the city fans must work in advertising and be an expert in making things go mental online?

It has to be something that people remember, I mean how popular was a video of a kid biting his brothers finger?

I still think my man is the one for it:

Yes, I really did get a man to dance in the woods to a Nigel / Harlem Shake Remix...

Said it from the start but nobody will listen. Even if they had a fancy dress day, look how much attention those hartlepool fans got dressed as smurfs on the train etc. I couldn't tell you when another club last protested though.

Then it will be back to holding up a card on 6 minutes for 32 seconds.

Blackpool? Charlton?

A boycott doesn't hurt sisu it hurts CCFC and us only. If we don't turn up they'll just reduce our budget to make up for it. Packing out the stadium with banners balloons and lots of sky blue would get loads of publicity. Banners about the academy, sisu, the council, wasps and everything in general with the basic message being save our club. Yeah it might line sisu's pockets and they might not put anything back into the club but at least people might take notice and see that we aren't going down without a fight.

Couldn't tell you, a fair few fans outside at Blackpool away but it doesn't stick in my mind and I doubt it does for most other people either.

However you give them a dancing cat or a video of Rick Astley and they don't forget.

That's what I mean by thinking outside the box, obviously not a kid biting a finger but it needs to be remembered and get people's attention.

CCFC fans would work best when it is about CCFC, not when it is about hating other parties. That goes for all of them, whatever way.

I think Italia talks absolute shit, as he does me but if (and I say if) we score a goal I bet we are both jumping about like dickheads. That is what it is all about, and that's the way it should be played.

this is the sort of post that we all need to stop making, snide remarks at fellow supporters.
We all get frustrated but we need to can it and stick together while what ever the fuck is going on plays out.
