Possibly. But SISU wouldn't be interested unless Wasps, Higgs,Anywhere on this new RBC local plan that could accomodate a football stadium...?

Where?
There are two parcels of land for development south of the A46 either side of Ryton Bridge. I'd assume this is potentially housing development.Really it needs someone to trawl through the document and even then there are vague references to things that might mean a stadium might be missed. For example, in the infrastructure section of the local plan it says:
"Improvements to the A45, including new roundabouts to provide access to the site" - but it doesn't make clear where this site is or what's on it.
The two following statements are interesting:
"3.17. National policy requires that local plans encourage the effective use of land by re-using land that has been previously developed, provided that it is not of high environmental value. The conversion of existing buildings to support the sustainable growth and expansion of all types of business and enterprise in rural areas and in part to support the transition to a low carbon future is also a strong principle of national policy"
"3.18. Policy GP3 seeks to support the redevelopment of previously developed land but maintain that any redevelopment does not result in an unacceptable impact. Evidence will be required to demonstrate that there are no adverse impacts on any heritage or biodiversity assets on which advice will be sought from the relevant statutory bodies."
So, development of a football stadium on a brownfield site wouldn't be outside the parameters set by the draft plan.
Love it, demolition company, sorry Tony going to have to steal that from youIt ain't going to happen Northern. They're a demolition company not a building company. Simple as.

Easily big enough for a football stadium of course. Very much doubt that the well salaried Timmy F has had time to make an enquiry about them though.

What is the latest with speedway
They have a short stay of execution at Brandon and have identified a site with the aid of RBC as far as I understand that they're working on now. If no further extensions happen at Brandon they'll track share at Leicester in the interim.
I thought Leicester had been discounted as an option?
(I also thought the suggested new site was fraught with problems, too?)
I don't follow the speedway personally but a mate from Swindon who does told me a little while ago that they will operate out of Leicester in the interim.
Mick Horton rules out Leicester and Birmingham as options to relocate. He seems to suggest if it’s not at Brandon it might not be anywhere.
You made him up, I knew you were lying when you said friendShows what my mate knows. Although to be fair the last time I spoke to him about it was around Xmas last year. Something has obviously changed.
