Apparently Venus told the players to go and win the game for Mowbray, so maybe just a little bit more motivated today.

Funny folk these footballers.

They wont hire another manager while MV has a 100% record.

Evans has a proven record at clubs with little money , either you like him or not he's the ideal candidate

MV is odds on for the job in my book. Sisu won't be able to resist the savings in wages and I think it's already been set up anyway (remember what TM said about using his wages?) Good luck to Mark but God help him, taking on the poisoned chalice!

Can't see why he would want to?

So what's changed since TM has left?
New manager bounce.

Actually McCann playing & Vlad being benched may have helped somewhat.

The only proven record he has is his criminal record which is how he managed to gain promotion on a limited budget.
Dont want him and dont need the club draging theough more mud by someone who cheats his way to sucess

Will be surprised if Venus is not our next manager, needs to hit the ground running and has started with today, once there's a wobble fans will soon point to his boardroom connection, be unfair but that's what will happen.

Venus getting the job full time doesn't bother me, new managerial face, new ideas, knows the players too, been around a long time.

What I don't get is if the jobs that bad, and he's just seen his mate leave why would he take it on?

Just a thought, but if Venus does take on the job, will there be more money available for the squad? There'll be one less wage to pay.

Well that's what Tony Mowbray said when he resigned, ( QUOTE ) my wages can go on new players.

It's a shame Chesterfield match has been postponed. We need to see how MV performs for 4 or 5 games.

Play strong team vs Northampton in jpt. Then i wouldn't hire anyone over intl break. Let Venus manage at least 2 or 3 more league games then decide if he's got it or we need someone external.

He is already here - on the board. He worked with his mate on getting the squad together. His mate left on his own terms, so that wouldn't be an issue. The team is in part his baby. I think he would take it until the end of the season - he knows how much/ little is left in the playing budget - and as a board member should see the financial benefit of appointing himself.

In addition, him staying would be a sign of consistency.

For that last reason alone, I hope he stays.

Amazing what one win does. People said the same about Richard shaw after his first game in charge.

Most signings have been dross over the last two seasons.

Even Jones, who must have cost a reasonable sum, looks a concern.

Yep, it's just one win. It means nowt.

Not at all the time to be anything like getting carried away, even if we win 2-3 more games in a row.
