If you say so. The £ is currently in freefall and a hard Brexit will send it even lower. I will happily place a long term wager that Italy will not end up like Greece.
I repeat that we will be better off financially and will escape the rent trap in the UK. Oh, and my girlfriend will not be subjected to abuse for speaking Italian on the phone in public.

It has happened more than once and we live in Hove. I have a lot of friends who are from within the EU and it's not as though she is alone in having had similar experiences since the referendum.

There was a young Spanish man in Bournemouth who was put in hospital for daring to speak Spanish in the street. I wonder if these mindless thugs will be speaking Spanish the next time they are in Spain rather than English?

Funnily enough the first time I reported on this forum my girlfriend had been abused, it was dismissed as a lie by 'Sir Ernie' and funnily enough his fellow leave supporters kept quiet as well.

The unleashing of the vile racism within this so-called 'tolerant' society has been a sobering reminder of who people like Farage appeal to.
I can sympathise with people like 'sick boy' who want out, but we should be aware that
Xenophobia knows no boundary and is just as likely to be evident in Italy and France.
The EU project for many was a beacon of hope and genuine integration for communities with histories of division and conflict. 13 dictatorships have been dissolved by the EU into fully integrated democracies. Anyone with any compassion must realise that this has been the EU's greatest achievement and yet CUNTS like Farage and Johnson talk about taking 'back' our sovereignty. Absolute arse holes

You are bonkers if you think that is the way Britons think and act, you are speaking about isolated and unusual acts (if they indeed happened as you describe) and trying to imply its is a rising & significant trend, it isn't.

So you deny that there has been a 40% odd spike in race hate crimes against other nationalities since the referendum? Is there some kind of police and media conspiracy as well?

Why would people be making up stories that they have suffered abuse for being foreign? What about the Polish man murdered for speaking Polish? Was that another conspiracy? The story from Bournemouth was featured in the national media as well.

You're offensive attitude of denying and playing down racism makes me even more glad to be leaving. I'd be pretty ashamed myself if I were you.

I am sure there are isolated incidents of mindless idiots who would indeed attack someone for being 'foreign' but every time I go into Coventry City centre is absolutely incredible how many different languages you hear as you wander through.

You honestly can't go more than about 10 yards or so without hearing a language other than English.

My wife has been here 16 years now and luckily no-one has ever said anything about her talking in Russian (she is always talking in Russian to clients on the phone on buses and in the city).

Really sad to hear of any such incidents of verbal abuse and worse still anything physical.

Since the EU got strong in our country and unions got weak zero hour contracts took over. Yet you say that the EU looks after workers rights. They look after themselves and rich people.

They tried to reduce the pay on temporary workers where I work. Temporary workers were paid 36k a year. Then a fair few would get offered a full time job. We have a union. We voted to go on strike. The EU didn't do anything.

I don't think it will bother them much at all.

Maybe the exchange rate will cause some losses, but lets face it, they have lost a lot more than a fluctuation in exchange rate in the past few years on ccfc.

They did something. Have a look at the States for what it would look like otherwise. But thats mainly because there was a centre left majority for a long time. Not so much any more.

THE BANKS and financial institutions caused the CRASH in 2008. The neo liberal politicians like NEW LABOUR and the TORY feckwits
introduced austerity and corporate greed to try and pay for these financial irregularities. Hedge funds like Sisu with off shore tax breaks have benefited
from deregulation by these same spineless politicians. Austerity has therefore resulted in those with the least paying for the excesses of the rich.
Institutions like the FA and FL have loved corporate interference just like the government corrupted by the toxicity of a lobbying culture.
CCFC have suffered from this just like those on benefits and those without the means to pay for a house or an education.
UKIP and FARAGE told those people to blame the immigrants and NOT THE BANKS OR THE LOBBYING CULTURE and the tragedy is that most of them believed him.
ORWELL said the "ballot box is wasted on the English." and he was right.
