No I wouldn't.

He hasn't proved himself as a manager. Took over a club in Burton where Clough and Rowett had set up the foundations and, sure, the wheels didn't come off... but his next job was always going to be key.

Now if he then 'fails' at QPR it's possible *that's* the blip, but I wouldn't be employing him just on the Burton reputation. It could be his next job proves him a good manager... or a bad one, of course.

And would you trust us to be able to judge whether he were good or bad?

Got to agree with NW here. On paper looks from his time at Burton but Clough and Rowett did the donkey work and lay the foundations.

He still got Burton promoted from league 2 and top of league 1 when he left. a great achievement

Also qpr of 6 pts of playoffs. so not like he was terrible at qpr

Doesn't everyone fail at QPR?

They must have one of the highest managerial turnarounds mustn't they?

I think Mark Venus will be okay, looks and sounds a bit dour but is getting a silk purse out of a sows ear at the moment. If sisu sold tomorrow would a new owner keep him on I think they would, why not, that's if he wanted it. He knows the players, signed most of them, knows the league, I would certainly give him the rest of the season and a little leeway at the transfer window but I doubt he will get that.

Oh Venus staying on would be my first choice. just hope he can show us what we need to see in these coming months.

Their wage budget is astronomical. Seems like failure is accepted by you?

Too early in morning for trolling surely?

6pts is nothing. teams have gone from.bottom to top in 5 months. see Sunderland under keane

Lool at cov! u were so scared we were gonna get relegated lol

We would have done under Mowbray. The best thing this club has ever done is sack that fraud.
