Now, while I'll actually be going to that meeting (nice of the trust to rearrange it to a Monday I can do rather than one I can't ) don't you think there should be some mechanism for getting views from more than those who turn up to that?

This message board is as good a place as any for getting further views, surely?

I think it is good to get as many views and ideas as possible. I just took exception to the comment that " no one would listen to my ideas."

The protest ideas are from fan feedback. They have been taken from the Trust open meeting from a few weeks ago. Some people seem to forget that any of us who join in with these protests are ordinary fans led by an organisation that is run by ordinary fans. If you want to put your ideas forward come to the Trust open meeting on Monday and put your views forward. They will be respectfully listened to by everyone there and if thought worthwhile and workable will no doubt be taken on board. What do you think we should do to try and get rid of Sisu? ( I am assuming you do want to get rid of Sisu!)

The problem in my opinion is 2 tiered. Firstly the problem of SISU. They either need to put up a viable plan and deliver it, or step aside and let someone else have a go. They haven't demonstrated at all they have the desire or capability to deliver something tangible long term.

The second part is that some of the problems that SISU are encountering currently will be exactly the same for a new owner. No ground, no assets, nothing of any value. Do we really want a new owner to come in and throw money around and then one day pull the plug because they're fed up of wasting money. We will back here again.

The model has to change. SISU leaving is what realistically we all want. But banging a drum loudly and repeatedly won't make that happen. If there are people out there that would be serious in taking on the club, then we want them to approach SISU in private and have a realistic chat about how to get a deal done. What we don't want is some piss poor affair through the local media (Dhinsa, Hoffman, Haskell) that has no substance whatsoever.

Perhaps that is the difficult part. The apathy and lack of success makes engagement harder. I just think that maybe a positive approach could be a tactic worth looking at. At the very least the players on the pitch will get something from it.

I do appreciate when a petition stalls at 17k, you might struggle to get commitments but ref: a Wasps entry protest, could we maybe set something up and get people to pledge to attend, and it only runs once/if a certain number pledge?

In fact couldn't you do that for every protest? Not sure protests in the 10s are valid so, say, the MK one, if you only held it if you got, say, 250 to pledge to attend or something?

The "let's fill the Ricoh" idea keeps get trotted out but we can't even do that when we're doing well, so there's no chance of doing it when everyone's disaffected. Far easier to push for a complete match boycott....ideally if we get to a phase of the season when we're safe from relegation but mathematically can't get to the play-offs.

Maybe.. but some situations are now irretrievable, like the stadium and the academy. If SISU left tomorrow, the new owners have been immediately hamstrung by SISU's incompetence but also the council's duplicity and hypocrisy.

But the main issue is that it's not realistic to even half-fill the Ricoh when we are playing so poorly. An empty stadium would be much easier.

When we moved to Sixfields it seemed the end of our club for us fans.
The easy walk up was now a major away day. It seemed are club was being held for ransom.
MKdons and Wasps moving to another area are not battles I want to fight as I have no bond.

Problem is it is an easy ground to get to with the biggest way end.
Don't know why but many fans like to go there and don't really think about the franchise bit.

Funny how when we last played there we out numbered the home fans they now have a home average higher then ours.

Every little helps....... For me, it isn't enough to get SISU out. The structure must change otherwise we stay the same, but with a new owner.

The problem must be kept in the limelight and any protests which get talked about help in that way.

The structure cannot be changed without millions of investment. The longer we are in the limelight, the more chance, if only the very slight chance, we have of our case being noticed by a company or person with the capital and will to take on this mess.

If no-one does anything, apart from moan on here, we are entirely reliant on SISU's efforts to find a solution. I am not sure that they want a short term solution. More like plod on as self sufficient until something comes along or they win the JRs.

Right about the first point.

As for the protest.... people protesting about a decline in the 'product' they 'consume' - allbeit a sporting team that they follow - is not something to be ashamed of. I don't think their weight should be a reason to criticise them - you could use that to criticise a large percentage of the city following.

Having a mrs could be a good reason for caring for or following football - gives you a reason to get away for a couple of hours with your mates or other fans. ;-)

Filling the stadium for a giant protest is unquestionably the best thing to do as the football community see our boycotting as apathy and "deserting our team at its most desperate time" however its just simply not going to happen. Forget the idea, even the Sisu out petition couldn't get 20,000 signatures and a lot of those that signed were other teams' supporters.

We have to do something that either embarrasses Sisu or causes them a financial loss.
