would think that the full amount of costs awarded to CCC have yet to be physically paid over - often sums are paid in to court or lawyers client account whilst appeals continue rather than paid over

Didn't some get paid before for the actual JR (not appeal)? Remember some being paid.
I guess there is more to be added on since.

One would assume its one of the fabled escrow accounts that Sisu like to use. If their is any more money to be paid out I wonder if it will be paid by Sisu or the club and will this have a direct bearing on transfer funds for January hence the fact that we have so many executive vacancys that are being dual rolled?

The legal teams are in danger of having to find some other work. That'll be a shock to the system after years of the SISU funded litigation.
Having said that I'm forgetting it's SISU we're writing about. I expect they are trying to find something in the ruling to challenge.

And now we get to do it all again with JR2. Unless SISU can prove that the Council rejected a much greater bid of theirs - with promises of nearly £13m in further investment like Wasps have supposedly made - is probably also dead in the water and going to be ridiculously drawn out.
So, shall we meet again in 2 years to see how that one went? CCFC will probably be in League 2 or the Conference by then.

This can only be seen as a good result if SISU decide the game is up and leave. The alternative is they decide to procedure with JR2 which will mean they are likely to stick around for a least a couple more years.

What is JR2?
Sisu have lodged an application to challenge the terms of the deal which saw Premiership rugby club Wasps secure Ricoh Arena firm ACL in October 2014.
Wasps secured 100 per cent of the company by paying the council and Alan Edward Higgs Charity’s £2.77million each for their 50 per cent shares.
The rugby club also paid back the remainder of a £14.4million council loan to ACL and agreed an extension of the lease of the venue from 50 years to 250 years from freehold owners Coventry City Council.
This second legal challenge can get underway now the first judicial review process appears to have ended.
The aim of the legal action is not yet clear but it is likely Sisu would like to see the deal undone or for compensation to be paid for the negative impact on the football club.

I would say if SISU now push on with this JR2 bullshit and are likely to be still here in 2 years...........attracting players in January for peanuts, falling casual support and a collapse in ST numbers will ensue. They will be able to cut costs further soon and just open the corporate stand or failing that as I think 'Otis' suggested the 4000 capacity at the BPA would be sufficient for their fucked up club whilst they pursue a bit of compo at our expense !

Was wondering, could this be an opportunity for any interested party, if there is one, to move in with a bid for the football club and be public about it. As I see it sisu are in a spot, they may talk big but with this JR1 seemingly dead in the water they either cling on to this JR2 which they surely have doubts about now or continue to bleed money by hanging on to our football club, or is it simply a woman scorned scenario with our Joy.
